So after that L'Orange Q&A a few days ago heads were asking about getting The Doppelgangaz next. I thought it might be a long shot but figured it was worth inquiring about. Within minutes of Twitter DMing back and forth they said they were more than down to do it. With that being said im happy to announce that tomorrow night at 7pm The Doppelgangaz will be on the HHB for a Q&A session.

As with the other Q&A thread im gonna pin this to the top so when they log on tomorrow night they'll have a nice starting point. Any questions heads have for him between now and tomorrow afternoon you can post in here. Any troll/spam posts will get clipped.

For a refresher The Doppelgangaz are only the best hip hop duo out right now. Since they debuted they've dropped some of the best hop hop albums in that time period with 2012 and Lone Sharks. They not only emcee but they handle all of the production on their albums. They most recently dropped one of the better EPs of the year with Parts Unknown.

Here's a stream of Lone Sharks...

Their entire discog...

Really? I think they've switched up their sound so as to not get boxed in and labeled boring. For me it was a home run with HARK! and a bit of a swing and miss with Peace Khed. The new EP is a ground rule double.

Any chance of ever releasing a tape or album of you guys rhyming over the best instrumentals from BFBV1 and BFBV2?

Who are some of your favorite all time and current hip hop artists/groups?

Who are some of your production influences?

You guys have started collabing with people (Apathy, Marco Polo, Jim Jones) the last couple years. Any more collabs in the works and if so who are they with?

I know this question is on a lot of heads minds hahaha but any chance of revisiting the more dusty, boom bap sound you had on your first couple albums?

when will you guy do an american tour that comes out west? i want to see you live, so bad, but only ever see you performing out east, or in other countries.

you guys are a mixed duo (one white/one black). czarface (plus 7L) and run the jewels are the same type of racially mixed duos. which of those duos do you guys fuck with more?

any chance of you guys releasing an instrumental version of lone sharks in the future?

you guys keep your work in-house a lot. by that, i mean you don't ever have any guest rappers on your projects. you had apathy jump on a remix for a track from BFBV2, but that's the closest you've gotten to featuring someone on your project. jim jones did a talking outro on the last track of partz unknown. with those facts in mind, was putting "featuring jim jones" in the tracklist of partz unkown a marketing choice (that trend seems to be growing in the last few years of saying "featuring" for someone who just talks or is just sampled on the track, rather than having a verse), or was that move kind of a trolling wink to the fans?

any plans on releasing an album where you guys just produce and let someone else do the rapping? i love your guys' rapping, but i'm just curious if you guys plan to branch out that way.

doppel has a seriously dope catalog even though i much prefer the pre peace khed material.

questions:

1)Whens the new album dropping and will the production be more like peace khed and parts unknown or more like your first few albums.

2)any plans for more collabs with more popular artists? you had Jim Jones on parts unknown- how did that come about?

3)How were you guys able to keep the creative process flowing and release as many solid albums as you have?

Music questions all covered already, so here are some business ones:

You tour Europe a lot, do you find a big difference in the european crowds compared to US shows?

What sort of money you make off a typical tour versus what you make out of physical product?

Whats the business model for up-coming artists in these days of streaming etc. How important do you feel social media is?

Whats your favorite movie/book?

Peace

Usually when someone thinks of the word doppelganger they think of someone who looks like somebody else.

When I first heard of you guys I thought you were like twins or irl doppelgangers , when I finally saw your photo I was rather disappointed.

So what's with the name? Did you take it cuz it had the word " gang " in it? Be honest

where do you guys get the best fan reception, when you tour? i'm guessing the answer is somewhere in europe.

what kind of merch do you guys sell on tour? just what's available on your site's store, or other stuff?

My 3 questions:
Do you think lord Jamarcus is gettin a bit annoying with all these gossipy tmz videos on vladtv? I mean do people actually care what he thinks bout eminem and catylnn Jenner?

Hex one (he's a rapper in a crew called Epidemic) said that he is aware of wicked from ughh and doesn't think he's a complete faggot. Can you share your opinion on this? Do you think he is somewhat of a faggot at least?

Also who is y'all's favorite rapper in New York? (must be alive)

partz unknown aside, what's your fav hip hop album from 2015?

what kind of artists do you guys listen to, outside of hip hop?

what was the last hip hop album you listened to, from each decade (80's, 90's, 00's, 10's)?

what is up bros?

just wondering, what's your stance on feet?

Do you think you would you under any circumstance be out in your cloak at night, tip toe up to a lady and you know take a whiff off their neck and if you like the smell of them you approach them and strike up a convo but if you don't like the smell of them you dash off without them noticing?

Damn im going to try to do everything in my power to make that August 6th show.

Few more questions...

I don't know if one or both of them are going to be doing the Q&A (I know i was talking to EP via Twitter DM) but im curious as to what they feel is their favorite album and song that they've done?

The idea behind the cloaks. How did it start and how did they decide on a cloak?

Which of the two of them does more of the production or do they handle it all 50/50?

I might have to drop by that Philly show if I'm in town...I'm a fan of these guys.

I think a few people asked about the artists they'd like to collab with. I'd like to see a Doppelgangaz/Epidemic project...would be dope IMO

Actually you know what I have a great question:

How do you guys define what is and what isn't Hip-Hop? It's something that's discussed a lot on these boards. Some people think that if you've ever done a commercial track at all in your career that you're not really Hip-Hop. Others are the complete opposite...and prefer some of the commercial artists. Me personally, I judge what is and what isn't Hip-Hop on a song by song basis...based on the heart/effort behind the music, the feeling that I get from the music, the technical skill, whether or not it stays true to the essence of the culture, etc. etc. What do you guys think? And what do you think about some of the artists that have become commercially successful? Do you think that any of those artists are staying true to the culture?

^^^Really interested on hearing their take on this...
