posted Friday, February 08, 2019 2:29:07 PM They dropped albums every 3 to 2 years. 4 years isn't that long but from Ill communication to Hello Nasty that 4 year gap felt long.
Now they haven't dropped an album for 8 years.
They are one of the greatest. Multi millionaires.
But I always felt they were in the game but out of the game.
Where as Kool Keith dropping albums every 2 or 1 year. He feels so current always.
What do you think?

I know...when is that new album coming out? I can't understand for the life of me why they aren't dropping a new album every year along with a massive worldwide tours, nah mean?
Oh wait...

Also when bands change lead singers and keep the same name it's not good.
Is that it then after the death of MCA?
Did Wu Tang stop after the death of ODB?
It does change things.

posted Sunday, February 10, 2019 5:53:19 AM my brother in law just tried to herb me about them. "maybe u can be open minded about beasties" maybe i heard the albums, please, i formed my opinion, ther annoying as fuck. i saw the mc serch interview with vlad and he said that 3rd bass was really the first white rap act cuz beasties were basically a mish mash of punk/rap. i agree even tho serch is a cocksucker. its like animal house meets three stooges meets a form of rap thats totally flat line dead. beastie boys suck. thers like a dillion other 80s acts better.

Aesop Rock I read praised them for having such a clean history.

posted Sunday, February 10, 2019 2:32:52 PM Either Aesop Rock doesn't know his history or he was takin the piss, when you consider this:
The Licensed to Ill tour was clouded in controversy featuring female members of the crowd dancing in cages and a giant motorized inflatable penis similar to one used by The Rolling Stones in the 1970s. The tour was troubled by lawsuits and arrests, with the band accused of provoking the crowd. This culminated in their notorious gig at the Royal Court Theatre, Liverpool, England, on May 30, 1987, that erupted into a riot approximately 10 minutes after the Beasties hit the stage and the arrest of Adam Horovitz by Merseyside Police. He was charged with assault causing grievous bodily harm.

posted Sunday, February 10, 2019 6:22:42 PM In the middle of reading their book right now. Highly recommended. Theres a great part, referring to the backpack thing that started in tbe 90s, about how in the early years of hip hop in the early 80s it wasnt cool AT ALL to have a backpack unless you were going to or from school. Adrock talks about when you brought a bunch of tapes and a walkman out to listen to for the day you had to just cram it all in your pockets, you never considered carrying your stuff in a backpack. Also you were a square if you wore a backpack on both shoulders, everyone wore it on one shoulder
