i mean 100 dollars for a cd is bullshit too, but people will still buy them for some reason.

i like fahim's music, but this is just ridicuclous. there are so many artists out there who are just as good as fahim or better that put out music for FREE, even though they could easily charge for it. anyone who is dropping 50 dollars for a digital album or 100 dollars for a cd is a sucker, plain and simple.

please tell me you're joking loewi, you're not actually trying to justify the price just because fahim decided to only make 10 of them right?

^your right.over priced for sure.not sure how i feel about it since i dont know his intent/motives. could be a way to increase value/pride of ownership/demand etc as rap albums are currently under valued from free d/l's. or maybe totally just to cash in by fleecing his true fans. has he ever commented on the price craziness?

yeah if fans want to spend that much money, then of course that's on them but that doesn't make it any less lame. he specifically chose to only have 10 made, just so he can charge more and take advantage of that collectors mentality that some people have. don't get me wrong, i definitely think that the fans are mainly at fault but fahim is still the one that decided to do this in the first place. i just can't believe that people put up with this fuckery lol. if people didn't support it, he would have no reason to continue to do it. it's like how bad movies come out that everyone complains about but they bring in a ton of money, so they keep making them.

I feel like rappers like fahim and the griselda camo have bitterly come to terms with the new world of bootlegging. They know that illegal downloads are gonna kill their sales no matter how they cut it, so they just go all or nothing and force the listener's hand--you either bootleg their shit or you pay big for a very limited physical

Honestly if i were a more or less unknown ughh rapper i would consider doing the same. He's still providing a stream so we can actually hear the shit--but hes trying to make the most out of the small number of actual paying listeners that exist. it's being a cheapskate towards your listeners--but how long have we as listeners been cheapskates towards our favorite artists?

I agree with Prof 100%.

I used to be a hater with all these dudes charging insane amounts of bread for digital D/Leds and/or physicals. But if there's a market for it and they still provide a stream of the tape then the collector/supporter is making a conscious decision to support the artist and at same time add to their collection. The only one that was annoying was when HBO dropped cause there was no stream or digital D/L and physicals + the sex candle were $300 . And supposedly they sold out too. Mach obviously ended up releasing a stream of the album which anyone can turn into a zip and mp3 it.

I copped a few Fahim CD's few months back when they were in the $15 range each. At that price i don't mind supporting the artist. Once it starts getting into the $25 or more price range that's when im out.

Listened to this new tape last night but more so as background. Started out strong, some ehhhh in the middle, and ended on a good note.

lol at 50 bones, especially on bandcamp if a fan wants to support the artist they have the option i.e. 10.99 or more. i think fahims so full of himself he thinks thats what people should pay. and im not being a "hater" cause his music is alright, beats are dope but lacking in variety but his lyrics are sub par and unrelatable to me

TDSS2 and Dreams of Medina 2 are far and away my favorite two releases from him. Still haven't peeped the other one he dropped last week. I might put the first Dollar Menu over this album but this is up there.

Can Soda, Butterfly FX, and Golden Calves my favorite off this. Yo no mask what tracks off this you feeling the most?

Tha Dark Shogunn Saga Vol. 2
Dreams Of Medina 2
Tha Tragedy of Shogunn
Those Who Slay Dragons
Dollar Menu 1 and 2

ADAMANTIUM DOJO

the last 2 being most light on drums.still dope samples on them though.

There's another one now. I can't bring myself to want to listen to more of his music at this point. That's not to say it isn't good, it's just a lot more material than I care to hear from him. I definitely acknowledge his effort and output as extraordinary and unique. This dude records music as a full time job and floods his market. I can't think of anyone else with this kind of output in this day and age. I am intrigued by the idea of something fully produced by him tho. His production always stands out to me as the best on all of his solo projects and the projects with Mach.
