ive mentioned before his production is his greatest strength as an artist, cause honestly his style of rapping is boring to me, with that said ive only listened to dreams of medina and mabey 15 or 20 tracks from his various other tracks, but from what ive heard he mixes samples nicely and creates dope beats but i cant remember a track where the beats evolve it seems just to be the sample over and over til the end of the track, if you dont know what i mean by the beat evolving check el p, aesop rock or kno's production. do you guys think this will be detrimental to him in the future? with the amount of material he puts out its seems this will get old fast

I think he might devolve
Soon the sample will dissappear to my drums

Them the snares will disappear, just a kick and hi hats

Then further on each track will just be a hi hat ticking along

Then finally, silence, just accapellas

Give him time to develop and evolve his style. From what i can tell he's only been producing regularly for a couple years and is already terrific at it. Some of those producers you named have been at it for decades and are top shelf at what they do. So to not be at their level early in your career is nothing to be upset about.

not saying he should be at their level i was using them as an example of people whos beats progress rather than repeating the same loop for the whole track

No doubt. I know you weren't comparing. I was just stating those guys have perfected their craft in some cases over 15-20 years. Fahim is still very raw in comparison with them and is still churning out dope samples, loops, etc. Id give it some time. With that being said, in terms of just straight production, he's Top 5, if not higher, if we ranked best producers of 2017 so far.

yea thats what im hoping for cause theres people who use transitions and bridges but their beats are wack, hes got a good ear for it so if hes able to add more dynamics it'd be crazy

as a producer hes pretty advanced for how young he is with his samples and chops but hes def repetitive. u kinda can catch a loop in his music from project to project where he repeats himself way too similar. but hes a great beat maker and a shit rapper for the most part. voice sounds way too young.

Hes a decent producer, good taste in samples but yeah, no evolution or change ups in the beats at all, just simple loops. I wish he scratched
