I'm just saying, he had his 15 minutes of fame a few weeks ago and since then the buzz has died down.

every dump seems forced

i hope he don't get the hemi's

and the only people who really seem to feel his shit are plumbers that unclogged his sewage pipes & no mask

thoughts?

nah, it's pretty appropriate. i like fahim, and even i'll admit that the majority of his music is bad. only a few tracks off every project he drops is worthwhile.

i can't comment on the sincerity of people's hate towards fahim or em. however, only 20% (at most) of the tracks both drop are worthwhile, so it doesn't seem like hate towards those two is unwarranted.

yeah, that's fair.

on the other hand, they might find it just as annoying that there are some people that constantly blindly hype up fahim's releases, even though a new one's released every other day, and most of these projects are not good, for the most part. i mean, there's been at least one fahim thread on the front page of ughh at all times, all year.

Yeah, that's why I suggested we stop making Fahim threads because all they do is bring in the same cycle of hate. I don't even make Mach threads anymore because I might as well just enjoy his music to myself

Fahim makes music i pray doesnt come onto my shuffle when my friends are in the car with me

He has a handful of good tracks on every project, but often times when those songs come on in shuffle, back to back with normal hip hop like billy woods, he sounds like a complete amateur.

If you write down his lyrics they make very little sense and are far from articulate. Very few songs stay on topic and most lines seem inspired by "what would rhyme with the last line?"

He's the ughh Lil B. Terrible rapper with an ear for beats that shits on almost every current rapper who is better than him

Co-sign NHL 100%

Eseph is jealous and butthurt as a mofo lulz. He's put in years with his craft and hasn't gotten the amount of shine on the forum Fahim has in a few months.

On to the topic, hate him or love him, Fahim was the most talked about artist on here in 2017 and its not even close. Yea it's as a result of his insane amount of releases but almost all those threads are doing two pages. As an emcee he has his moments but in the end is a regular, run of the mill underground emcee. His production is great regardless of the intricacies of it. I'm definitely a months worth of releases behind. The constant dumping is good for some extra bread in his pocket but as a listener it becomes too much of a burden at times. I don't even have time to repeatedly listen and digest one release cause within a few weeks there's 5 more new ones. In 2018 id like to see him slow down and craft some complete albums now that his name is obviously well known on the forum.

i dont think people are saying the same negative things about fahim to fit in i think hes doing exactly what everyone has noticed, and people are over it...like clock said, he needs to fine tune his albums instead of putting everything he thinks of on a record....it would be cool to me if i was seein progression everytime he takes a dump but its always the same overpriced formula sloppily thrown together, you guys can call it blind hate or whatever you want but its the reality of it and if people support those practices thats what hell continue to do

LOL at people dissing and only heard like 10% of his catalogue.

what a shit show this thread is. once again a bunch of complaining, blind hating, generalizing and assumptions with only a couple legit complaints.

half accurate complaints found in this thread:

1) he can be a bit off beat. yes- but not usually. maybe on like 5% of his songs.

2)he goes off topic/has no main topic- can be true which a lot of emcees do but some songs like "eat to live" off "the ineffable conflict... " album - he stays on topic has substance and nails the concept.

thoughts:

saying he cant rap on beat is another convenient huge assumption and generalization by those needing to discredit him/ write him off as he rarely raps off beat or awkward.

saying he cant rap or hes weak is plain false. As an emcee he has more than one style and has even rhymed double and triple time a few times. he sings on some hooks also. hes not a one trick pony. hes no lyrical mastermind but he's solid enough and has his high moments.

as an artist hes above average cause hes a solid emcee but also a dope producer and better at picking beats then most rappers. also he has a good ear for putting together projects. also hes prolific and drops a lot of dope shit even if 20% is filler.

people saying EVERY project has filler are off base. he has a bunch of projects that are 95-100% dope like:

dark shogunn 2
dump gawd
the ineffable conflict
those who slay dragons
tragedy of shogunn
the ides of summer
TGIF

etc.

seems like some may be going along with the blind haters a bit to avoid criticism.

some of his recent projects are more hit and miss like some of the dump trucks, art dealer and breaderick. he does need to slow down a bit and have more quality control but when you look back at his whole catalogue he has done a good job at putting out lots of dope quality shit. BUT in a way hes smart cause he knows he has that buzz right now so he puts everything out- and lots of Ep's (more money) that could of been part of an album instead. he's cashing in which is weak in some ways but not in his pocket.

yeah i don't think anyone hating on fahim is really trying to fit in, other than a few known trolls on here. who in here is dissing that have only heard 10% of his discography?

i've formed by opinion based on the 20ish fahim projects ive heard, and the patterns i've noticed. i gave him a chance. i'm open to having my mind changed, but i don't feel like checking out 15 new projects he's released since dump goat just to hear the dozen tracks that i would actually want to revisit. idk if anyone has noticed but i've toned it down with the negativity towards fahim because i really just don't care anymore.

loewi u need to kno that the majority of the board thats in ther 30s to mid and late 30's have listened since almost the start of rap. we actually DO kno wats good. i can only speak for me, that i give everything a fair shake or atleast almost in full but im not nearly as impressed by rappers fahim or whoever else much nemore. i havent out grown it but it takes something special to stick nemore in my psyche. fahim is forgettable and amateur hour, beats and especially rhymes. mach is a novelty but only slightly better. ther music peddling practices are rotten and insulting to real rap fans, not ther johnny come latelys who only kno bandcamp and youtube.

eseph your very very sneaky.

i know many just dont dig him and some points are valid. not everybody is supposed to like him. i didnt mean gino or tippi etc.

he is turning people off with the over saturation for sure. to be fair- no rapping off beat should ever be released so thats bad on him too. and putting out 3 ep's each for $13 instead of 1 album for 10.99 is a bit tacky.

^ that sample/beat man! song is really dope. people taking the "hate" way too far.

the valid issues with fahim are:

-rapped off beat a bit on like 5 tracks out of 300
-pricing fiasco
-too many Ep's that should be part of a larger album for less $
-writing too much- some verses suffer
-no live shows
-no features with outside artists (not a real issue)

i say bring on more dumps!

I think he has the potential to make a complete album from both a beat and lyrical perspective. As i said earlier itt, it's going to take time to do so and only time will tell if he'll have the patience to do it. The track i posted above is real shit, not just rapping about guns, kung fu, etc. It's relateable shit.

This more evidence he got bars...

tbh he isn't great on a mic, but he is ok

I only cop for production first, same as WSG

I don't think this guy will ever blow up as he has an obvious attitude problem, his spaz outs on observe levels

his ego is just too big, he gotta think he is the best but their is also no humility, he never is humble just arrogant
