i've been a fan for a while. no weak links in the group, great beat selection, creative concepts, can get deep and drop knowledge when necessary.

all their mixtapes have been dope and the tree of knowledge of good and evil was a top 5 album of last year, dope front to back, better than the action and meyhem releases. purpose's album with confidence has been getting some love lately. do ppl even realize purpose is in a group? i like that album but it isn't touching tragic allies shit.

yea, I don't think they're as underrated as people just haven't heard them

a lot of good shit goes under the radar, that's why I hate hype

Yeah man, it's a dope album. I own the CD. And I fully agree with everything Rev said... people probably just don't know. And a lot of good shit really does go under the radar. Everyone's more worried about wack shit like that lame Kendrick Lamar album.

good points as usual, rev...

yeah, i was contemplating whether i should use the word "underrated" or "slept-on".

it blows my mind that more ppl don't about the allies though. they've been doing music for years and have done collaborations with killah priest, cormega, planet asia bronze nazereth, canibus and more. i guess a lack of promotion is the problem, maybe?

putitonbigl, i'd recommend ALL of their shit, but you can start with their official album and purpose's better than your album mixtape. btw, their mixtapes consist of original beats except for one they did over old 4th disciple tracks.

here's a link to purpose - better than your album: untagged and releaded

their best mixtape

^it's from the early 00's which is why they're dressed like that. don't judge by the cover nerds.

no reviews for their album on amazon, and their songs on youtube only have like 1,000 views. i guess ppl just don't know they exist. weird.

they are mentioned quite often

^maybe in "what u bumpin" threads they get mentioned, but if you do a forum search there are no topics made about them. aside from me, you, sebbe and a couple others, no one ever talks about them.

here's the bonus disc that came with their album the tree of knowledge of good and evil...it was a cd-r and i think they only pressed up a limited amount of them.
