pretty good album. it's not as eclectic as i'd hoped, especially compared to the singles he's released over the last couple years, but it's fine. the only real duds to me are the whole interlude track, danny brown's verse on grandma hips, and the fast track with wiki and edan. that interlude track is just plain no good. luckily, the way the grandma hips track worked, editing danny's verse out of it was real easy. help with wiki and edan doesn't work for me, because the only rapper out of the three that seems to know what they're doing with that beat is edan. wiki is hella off base on this beat, it's embarrassing. what an amateur emcee. the only thing that track does for me is make me want a new edan album. god, he's great. anyway, i guess with this and jonwayne's album, we're going back to the days, when artists released singles ahead of the album, and then didn't put the singles on the album (see: strawberry fields forever). i'm not against that, i suppose. i can always add the singles to the album. i hope droog continues putting in the work he has. he's only getting better. fav tracks: grandma hips (feat. danny brown), gkac.

willie green finally put out the instrumentals for doc savage, which was one of my favorite albums of 2016. been listening to this pretty much all day, willie green is easily one of the best producers right now if you ask me. hopefully gino is still lurking on here because i remember last year he was saying he loved the beats on doc savage but wasn't really a fan of who he got to rap on them.

other than that i've just been trying to get into the new jam baxter and oddisee albums, don't get me wrong i like em both but neither have really "clicked" yet, at least in the way that i expected them to, they're both growing on me though.

Listened to that Droog a few more times throughout the week and it's pretty meh save for a few tracks. Inconsistent beat selection per the usual course with his releases.

Listened to that Jon Wayne for first time in couple weeks. Top 3-5 album of the year for me. Afraid Of Us, Blue Green, and Hills are the best back to back to back tracks off any album this year.

Westside Gunn- Riots On Fashion Ave, as with most of his stuff the production is top notch, its not got many tracks and B side is all instros so not great value for money but Don't Trust A Soul 7th Avenue version is worth it for me, seriously dope

KA- Honor Killed The Samurai and Ironworks. Both are good, I really like KA after sleeping heavy, Ironworks is more regular Hip Hop sounding than his later stuff but some of the production is really really good, and Honor is worth it for this track alone
