The Joey Badass album is so good, much better than b4da$$ which was also good. The first 3 tracks are dope as fuck, devastated is a minor blip although the beat is ill it's just the singing.

Kendricks album is a future classic

Delinquent Habits album is cool for something a bit more upbeat.

Just Scienide - The actual heat is really good

Rosebudds revenge obviously

Your old droog is good

RTJIII
OH NO TRISTATE
ROC MARCIANO
RICK ROSS (peep that - make sure to cut the full monkey trap joints with crackhead feats - it has 9 solid tracks - 6 of them ill - still clocking at 43minutes. Apple Of My Eye, Santorini Greece, Idols..., Powers That Be with Nas, Game and Scientology. If he made 4 or 5 more tracks on that level shit would have been close to classic. Dude is rapping like a madman on the album.)

All 3 are good...TPAB is overcharged though...couldn't call 1 being my favorite...all have highs and lows - just not that low that I got to skip. Why?

First 2 are similar to Illmatic and Igga/ Untitled contentwise.

Just curious...

You nailed why Kendrick doesn't have any classic albums under his belt. All of his album, even his great ones, have filler on them. Not one i can play front to back without skipping. Right now id put Section 80/Damn. on one tier and GKMC/TPAB on the other tier.

Speaking of Nas, remember when that dickweed said the new Rae album was as good as Lost Tapes? Lulz...

LOL, yeah I do remember that. 730 exponential statement...

For modern times Kendrick's albums are close to classic imo. Can you name other NEW artists with such type of work where it is also conceptual, has different flows etc....?
Damn felt the best upon first listen, but he should have reduced the singing/ slow simple rapping and should have went harder like on DNA or Heart IV. Latter might be harder than any song on the actual LP. Especially the shot part with the classic production where he comes with the Pun line.

By 90ies/ later 80ies standards NAH...I mean he'll never rhymes as hard as Monch did on the first OK or Stress. "Stray Bullet" was "taken" by Nas and Jigga.

Joey Badass really improved his lyric content, became more mature & made great conceptial/political rap album even tho he is mainstream artist. its so impressive.

Jonwayne, Roc Marci, Oddisee, Locksmith, D-Rev, Page Kennedy, Ran Reed, were also dope
