nice, can't wait to check this out later. i'm kinda surprised that this happened before a real earl/knxwledge collab, not that i'm complaining.

out of that whole group/circle of rappers (wsg, conway, fahim, etc) mach is probably my favorite right now, along with ichi.

I was at the baseball game yesterday and was drinking in town afterwards. Almost was drunk enough to spend $187 on that. Good thing my phones battery died when I was trying to make the transaction.

Mach Hommy average?

Dudes flow/delivery is far from average.

Lyrics are damn near poetic, abstract street shit.

Dude has a unique, gritty voice.

Song titles can have u scratchin ur head.

...thats not average by any means.

gave this a thorough listen, 7.5/10 for me. I just think that knowledge's style of work isnt that compatible with mach hommys style of rapping. That being said, still a decent piece of work.

I agree with pretty much everything Dope Hogan III said. HBO is a conceptual masterpiece if you really listen. I still don't know what the title "Ti Geralde" means.

As far as his flows, I agree they're ill most of the time, but there are some tracks where a flow seems off beat to me, particularly 2 or 3 tracks on those Dollar Menu EP's.

Still haven't peeped this cause they never put their shit on Spotify and im christening this in the car. Mach has grown on me a little bit since HBO dropped but he's nothing more than an above average emcee to me with a choppy at times flow. Still much better then shit squeezer and same tier as Conway, maybe a little better.

Hope this ends up on HHB soon.

Yeah, I think his flow was off beat for a second when he transitioned from fast to slow on "Thank God"

But yeah, like 2 songs on the Dollar Menu he sounds off beat and 1 song on DM2 for a couple bars

For the most part I think his flow is ill tho

think about this logically ^

everyone knows brother ali dropped an album, he's a well known artist on rhymesayers and has been putting out videos and promoting this album for MONTHS now. no matter how dope it is, there's really not much to gain from it being pinned.

this is a collab project that was released out of nowhere with no promotion by two relatively new artist who people are really fucking with right now, and if this thread wasn't pinned a lot of people would probably go weeks/months without knowing it exists.

I like Mach, but why dude love compressing his vocal mix to fuckery all the time? He's already kinda sloppy on annunciating and compressing them vocals till distorted don't help.

^I think it works well on certain projects like this one and HBO. It's just when his vocals contrasts Fahim's cleaner vocals on the Dollar Menu EP's that it becomes more out of place imo. Still dope as fuck EP's tho

Flygod is going to go down as a modern day classic in a few years. Easily my favorite album of 2016. As I've said before tho, WSG since Flygod dropped has been dropped a ton of mediocre shit disguised as gun noises.

Like Jonwayne, NxWorries producer Knxweldge is rooted in the Stones Throw scene. And like Stones Throw boss Madlib, Knxwledge excels at transforming crackly old easy-listening records into hazy, broken post-boom-bap head-trip music. When he’s working with his NxWorries producer Anderson .Paak, Knxwledge turns that into a warm, inviting big-tent sound. But on his latest project, Knxwledge goes in the other direction. On the new EP-length release The Spook…, Knxwledge teams up with the Newark rapper Mach-Hommy. Given that Mach-Hommy is a known associate of Buffalo headslap specialists Westside Gunn and Conway, you might expect The Spook… to be a woozy-hardhead combination in the tradition of Madlib and Freddie Gibbs’ Piñata. It’s not that. Mach-Hommy is, if anything, even weirder than Knxwledge. Last year, he released his album Haitian Body Odor in a peculiar way; you could only buy it for $300 by contacting him on DM. (He’s since put it up online.) On The Spook…, he delivers his words with the disaffected monotone of an East Coast head-knocker, but those words tend to be deeply strange: “Groucho Marx, narcoleptic vultures in the jungle / Martial art with algorithmic buffers in the Congo.” (Those lyrics are merely my best guess; it really sounds like he says “in the conzo,” but that is not, as far as I know, an actual word or expression.) He also sings most of one song, “Bon Après-Midi,” in Haitian French. The whole release is one of the most pleasantly confounding things I’ve heard in forever, an enigmatic zone-out that never bothers to meet its audience halfway.

Dope write up. I'm pretty sure it really is "conzo." According to Urban Dictionary, "conzo" is someone who's amazing in bed. It seems to tie with "narcoleptic vultures."
