hermes 3 is by far my favorite of the series. that "project nigguhs" piano makes me wanna hit someone with a wrench, so nasty. dear winter bloody fiegs, rolacks and blvk tar are also amazing.

the lil eto and v don was alrite. i think eto reminds me a little of roc marc. i wanted this to be so much better and it wasnt. willie the kid and meyhem were featured and still didnt take this over the top. its a shame.

classic. one of the best insrumentals ever. been wanting that 33 1/3 book on this forever now. but i caught the jerry butler ice man commeth lp for 3 bucks awhile back that has "last donut" and my favorite "just because i really love you" sample on it. i think a week later i found the just because i really love you 45 which is a prized possession now big time. just amazing. i really want that luther ingram lp that has "whip me with a strap" on it terribly, my other favorite joint.

bumping the new Show and A which keeps growing on me just like the oc did

bumpin 444 which i like, but not googily moogily over. not aoty, roc is, then woods. no id carried the album, jay did some different stuff for once which is cool tho, too. i ain't mad.

now bumping amy winehouse back 2 black for the first time, 1st impression, its coo and i hope to find some gem vokes to sample

Sleep sinatra- monsters and children- dude is so dooe, reminds me of moka only at times

Madvillain 2- the remixes- love this album, madlib remixes give everything a freah feel to it

Dangerdoom re-release- the new songs on this are fire, addinh to an already great album

J-hood- flashbacks from the block- decent with some major standouts

Edgar allen floe- streetwise lp- great throwback to the days of ughh when 9th and khrysis produced seemingly everything

debating if im a discog it

is that the way to go with selling your CDs? i want to get rid of my CD collection, and am considering selling it online, but it seems like such an insanely big task, as opposed to just dumping it off at the local used CD store for a way smaller price. i don't really care about making a good buck off it, but also don't want to make nothing off selling my collection away. i'm weighing my costs and benefits here, bros. help me out.

I'd say it's worth it 88. It's fairly painless to list on discogs, you don't need any pictures or description. Just list for a price (they have the price charts for every release so you know how to price yours to sell) and wait.

I'd put them all up and see what sells and in a few weeks take whatever still sitting to the store.

but what about shipping it all out to people? isn't that a hassle? you got to go to the post office, talk to those jerks at the counter, do all that shit. is that worth it? genuinely asking here.

gino - that 33 1/3 book is great , definitely recommend it. a lot of the stuff seemed like common knowledge for anyone familiar with that album, but there was some interesting facts and analyzations in there. i need to get more of those, i've only got the one for donuts, endtroducing, and bitches brew.

dr. prof - agreed, i really like those bonus tracks on DANGERDOOM. especially the one with black thought.

88 - hmm, if you don't want to put in the time/effort to list every single cd, ship them, etc maybe just look up the CDs you have and see what they're going for on there. sell anything that's rare or worth a lot of money on discogs, and bring rest to a store to sell in bulk.

that's what i was considering, tippi. i have way too many CDs to try and put every single one of them up for sale online.

88 - at least put the good/rare ones on discogs. i used to think it was an overwhelming task, but its easy, i can sit their on my phone and list 10-20 albums in that many minutes. Then when they sell, I hit the post office every saturday I've been averaging about 5 sales a week since i started 6 months back. def get more $ back than you would at the store, but one catch - you do gotta spend an hour or so every saturday (or when ever works for you) on packing the stuff up. id say worth it, but thats just my personal opinion. i for one would love to see what you're getting rid of.

and one advantage of me selling on discogs is its a nice way for me to get them es-1 cd's to people in different states/countries when i sneak my cd's in as freebies with their order. people seem pleased so far so i'm

I finally got Spotify. So far I'm liking it a lot, merely for the fact that I get to listen to new music.

Definitely some bangers on this. Feeling it. Tears on My Nautica is nice, so is the one with Casual.

I have no idea who Klaus Layer is but this track came up and the shit is really dope.

Yo aeokq prepare to have you days of buying physicals damn near extinct once you entered the Spotify world. Happened to me bruh.

Still bumping Dopp Hopp. Id say it's Top 3, if not my AOTY so far. Liking it more with each listen. Also Parts Unknown is fucking terrific. Was bumping that earlier today as well.

Yo 88 if you have any CD's valued at like $7 or over it's worth throwing them up on discogs. Anyone who has that CD on their Want List usually gets messaged that a new CD was just listed after you do so. But yea if you got CD's only worth a couple bucks then best bet is to trade them in. Maybe post your collection up on here and someone will buy a lot.

^^^were the only songs i really liked. that "straight to the city" sample has been used a million times. almost every beat sounds the same on this. i expected something better for the "summer joint" yall said this was. the funk samples were stereotypical of quik and the west in general but ehhh.

Surprised so many people don't like Medellin. I think it is fantastic. The Spanish style beats are a bit overdone, but I think they are executed very well. The cocaine/gangster/street raps are also delivered properly. Out of the handful of albums I've heard this year I like that one the most. We'll see how the replay value holds up.

Working from home today, got this going -

Always thought it was overrated but you can't deny its quality. Some nice beats and the rapping is above average.

i kind of agree. i've heard some people say that madvillain and below the heavens are two of the biggest "underground classics" released in the last 15 or so years, but i have a feeling the people who say that just aren't familiar with a lot of artists aside from the more well known ones. i love the album don't get me wrong, but i definitely wouldn't say its the best album released since 2000 or anything. i know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but i honestly liked "give me my flowers..." a little more.

hmm i LOVE dour candy, it's one of my favorite albums so far this decade, but i don't know if i'd really say it's better than madvillainy. i'd probably put both those albums on the same level. madvillainy isn't my favorite DOOM project though, probably number 3 or 4

After watching Defiant Ones i decided to revisit this classic...

I remember seeing an interview with Busta Rhymes saying he was on a tour bus listening to Guilty Conscience for first time and almost broke his neck nodding it back and forth so hard when hearing it for the first time. Even listening to that track today, it was so well executed between the two of them.
