I consider Apathy a good mc and pretty decent producer. And we know all what O.C is capable of when he feels inspired and he got the right beats.

But I listened to the album on my way to work and on my way back home and it didn't make me feel anything:

I wasn't impressed by the beats nor the flows, but I'm not a native English speaker so I should listen it again focusing on the lyrics...
Based on my gfirst listen I would say that sound wise it's an average album, but let's see if I change my opinion once I listen to it carefully.

PS: It's on Spotify already

I guess I'm the only one here that thought it sounded pretty good on first spin. I wasn't analyzing too hard but I enjoyed the flow of it. A couple sampled hooks I could've passed on but they didn't keep me from liking the songs. Maybe I just like pretty much anything with OC on it.

It's much better than you all are giving it credit for. I think the production is stellar. There was probably only one track that I wasn't feeling in general .

The track Gorbachev being my favorite.

I think it knocked pretty well on first listen.

album is pretty boring...but it's mostly the fault of apathy. his punchlines and forced multis just sound so corny next to o.c.'s effortless flow and smooth delivery. beats were mostly ok, but I hate that ap is at the forefront of this project because he sounds so uninspired now....just saying words to say words with no meaning behind anything. I liked a few joints, but this isn't anything I would go out of my way to play much again.

These two didn't quite mesh well on this album. No disrespect to O.C., but this would've been better suited as another Apathy E.P. before The Widow's Son.

i liked 1, 3, 6 minus the hook, 7,8, 10 with celph titled, 12 dcent track another awful singy hook

overall i think apathy put out all the music he could the last few years its time for him to step aside and let celph titled shine now

i saw in a recent apathy live on facebook where he said celph didnt have time to pout out music cause he was handling things from the business side of demidodz... so apthy if u reading this time for u do that and give the people what they really want celph mothering fucking titled and majik most

cosign ollie. i woulda never pictured celph on the buisness side of things, just thought he was lazy or an ultra perfectionist. id jizz a kfc bucket if celph dropped another album or majik as well.

Soviet Official is a pretty good track. I also like Covey Leader to Raven, it uses the same sample as Black Milk "Gold Piece."

Apathy is cool, also never understood the hate, although I don't think he has ever made a really good album aside from Eastern Philosophy, and even that is a little lopsided.

what's wrong with spotify? if the artists didn't want you to listen to their music on spotify, they wouldn't put it on there. it's not like you're stealing it anyway, and the same people who use spotify are the ones who would pirate these albums instead of buying them in the first place. artists want more exposure, because more exposure means that more people will actually buy their album.

this site sells physical copies of albums though, and hearing an album before they buy it on a service like spotify helps people decide if they want to spend their money on the cd or vinyl. it's likely that streaming services have MADE this site money, not taken away from their profits.

I completely disagree....apathy sounds way cornier than usual on here with a ton of forced punches and multis. I used to be into that shit when I was younger I guess, but now it does absolutely nothing for me, tbh.

OC is dope like always - its impossible for him to drop some wack shit or sound bad because he is one of the best to ever do it.
You cant exactly say the same thing about Apathy...

I dont like the beats on the first half of the album and even if OC saves most tracks its a disappointing project at the end.
