this is cool and all but i'm really getting sick of RTJ at this point. RTJ3 was way better than RTJ2 but they all still have this similar vibe/style that is kinda played out now. i said this before but i'd rather just have a new el-p solo album.

It would be one thing is they dropped albums like Fraudhim, daily, with a shit ton of fillers...then I would say change it up.

But with 3 albums (and some singles) over the last 4+ years...I think they can keep the sound fresh with a long break in between releases. And they tour like no one else.

These dudes earn every ounce of respect from me for their hustle, and their ability to reinvent themselves after 20 years in hip hop.

i respect both el-p and killer mike, but so far they haven't really kept the sound that "fresh" though imo. yeah there are a few tracks that stand out on each projects but for the most part it's the same thing. RTJ1 is much more similar to RTJ3 than i'll sleep when you're dead is to C4C because there were 5 years between those two albums. i'm just worried that we'll never get another el-p solo album at this point because of how RTJ blew up. i hope they take a few years after this last album to really put together something that stands out in their discography, while also dropping a few singles here and there.

RTJ albums vary between very good and great but they all sound too similar, which isn't a bad thing really.... But sometimes you got the feeling they just found a formula with the beats and just decide to change it slightly to create a new one (like DJ Premier has been doing for years).

And yes I also would prefer a new El-P album rather than another RTJ. Cancer for Cure and I'll sleep when you are dead are extremely underrated albums

i've never felt like they're crazy political. One thing thats weird tho is that i know this one kid who's like fuck RTJ, they're a bunch of Hilary supporters. I just think the music is dope and if anything, they're more like Trump supporters. Truth is, none of it matters. 3 classics back to back to back and you really can't refute that.

The one that dropped late last year was the only album of theirs I've really fucked with. Co-sign overrated duo for sure. But I've never been a big fan of either of them so naturally i was going to feel that way. Song in OP is aight.
