It's very decent album. I will listen to it couple of times this week.
I know Pete Rock and DJ Premier didn't produce any track but some of the songs really sound as if it was produced by them

Im sorry Edo.G is cool Roxbury 02119 was like one of my fav albums when I was growning up Special Teamz was ill and A&E with Masta Ace was on point but this shit is boring as fuck I would listen to 4:44 before I bumped this

Born in Roxbury—a working class, predominantly black neighborhood in Boston, Massachusetts. Anderson then known as Ed Rock started his career in the late 1980s at age 15, in a crew called F.T.I. (Fresh To Impress). They had a song called "Suzi Q" on "Boston Goes Def!" Vinyl LP compilation released in 1986.[2] Three years later, with the help of New York's legendary Awesome 2 duo (Teddy Ted and Special K) formed Ed O.G and Da Bulldogs in late 1989. He released his first album in 1991 with his group Da Bulldogs, titled Life of a Kid in the Ghetto.[3] The album included the song "Be a Father to Your Child," which received airplay on local Boston radio stations, and "I Got To Have It", which was sampled later by Mary J. Blige on the track "Ooh!". The group was dropped from Mercury Records in 1993.[4]

He needs to stop rapping , he's like 50. The only old rapper that can make good music is Jay Z. All the others rap about the same thing they rapped about in the 90s with no changes to influx of song song structure and ideas

Lit Jagger go back to primary school please, your teacher is looking for you.

Edo G isn't doing any comeback as he never left, he didn't stop making music.

When it comes to the beats...I don't care if they imitate Pete Rock or DJ Premier. If it sounds good it then that's it, period.

Producers always got inspired and kind of copied those on top of they genre. It happens with boom bap rap, trap, grime or any kind of music.

I dont know man I heard that shit. Its not horrible or nothin but the beats just seemed simple and basic it aint all that but like I said EdO is a dope rapper nothing personal against him. He would sound dope over Roc Marciano type production like chill loops not drums it would be dope. Just sayin theres alot better beats he could have picked

Paper I'm not saying the beats are amazing but I don't think they are wack at all.

I guess the reason why he used those producers it's because he didn't wanted to spend too much money with a more known producer but ending up with similar beats. We all know that legendary producers often produce average beats... So I can understand his decision.
I do agree that the album could be better if the beats were better as well but in my opinion the beats are quite good, not mind blowing but good
