I'll check this when I get home, I liked the first 2 singles. Murs always has stuff I like, but his albums overall sometimes aren't consistent. Let's see, End of the Beginning probably still my favorite. I liked that Mursday album too.

On the last Legends album the Gathering, he's like You haven't' put your L's up in a while- it feels good don't it? Then he immediately announces he's officially leaving LL- kinda fucked.

Believe it or not Karim, you can have a best album when you release more than 1 album, unlike your Outlook stinker that couldn't sell 100 albums even if Jimmy Iovine backed it and it had Dr Dre production

The cover is so fuckin stupid with u counting up $6 to see if u can purchase a nickle of crack

This album is turning out to be real nice. Feeling the production big time. MURS sounds hungry and the Fashawn/Prof features were on point.

damn nws, seriously damn. this is my favorite murs album in a long time. just finished this and its def top 5 for me. honest, stripped down but layered as fuck, just a complete well rounded "grown man" album. hate that term but this is fantastic. mature in spots, innocent in others also with the usual murs humor sprinkled in. loved it.

favorite tracks:

1. The Unimaginable
5. Powerful
6. G Lollipops
7. Superhero Pool Party
9. A Lean Story
10. Lo-fi Nights
14. God Is The Greatest

u seriously dont miss the beats of 9th wonder on this at all, at fuckin all. im pretty content to say this is his best album and he didnt need a big name producer to do so. i usually hate this guy but i stayed open minded and remembered how much i loved murrays revenge and this is even better. ther was a couple glimpses of cunty and a lil more than self loathing on this but its really good.

Listening right now

Do you pronounce his name 'murse' or 'murz'. He says 'murse' but that sounds a little too gay for my liking. I'll always say 'Murz'

I tried to buy this at Best Buy yesterday but they didn't have it. I thought they carried all the Strange Music for cheap.

I'm really excited to hear this (more now that Gino's giving it the thumbs up). I've loved the singles and agree with ETW...the production is stripped down but really layered. The backstory of this album makes me know that Murs is hungry.

It's Murse like Purse. But a lot of people says Murz.

I believe it's pronounced Murse as if it were short for "Mercenary". Anyway, I really haven't dug his last couple of solo albums (aside from Brighter Daze with 9th) but this joint definitely has some really good songs on it. I don't really like it consistently as a play through but if I pick and choose the songs I like it's his strongest offering in a while. Murs is very hit or miss to me.

He's got some good songs on all his albums- always thoughtful lyrics and stories- not sure if all his gang affiliation stuff is real after running with the Legends- maybe he's going way back to his youth for some of it.

Most of this is well produced, some of them I'd probably skip in the future.

Really like Vows, Powerful, Meloncholy, and Unimaginable.

BB carried Murs' last album on Strange - I bought it there and they still had one copy when I went to get the new album last weekend.

I went to BB's website which tells you what's available in store...they only have the new Murs available online. I'm going to order it through Amazon.

https://www.theverge.com/2018/2/6/16973538/bestbuy-target-cd-sales-vinyl-cassette

Best Buy is abandoning the humble CD and will no longer sell them in its stores starting on July 1st, 2018, reports Billboard. The move comes as CD sales continue to decline; revenue from digital music downloads eclipsed it back in 2014.

Despite no longer selling CDs, Best Buy will still sell vinyl for the next two years, which Billboard says is part of a commitment it made to vendors. Sources suggested that Best Buy’s music CD arm was only generating $40 million annually.

Target, on the other hand, says it will only sell music CDs under a consignment basis, shifting inventory risk back to the labels. That means Target would only pay labels for CDs when customers buy them, rather than buying the CDs in bulk and paying for shipments of unsold CDs back to the label for credit.

Yeah, this is dope as fuck. The production is so fresh and the album has so much range with the beats and subject matter, yet it’s still has the 1 producer, 1 emcee cohesiveness.

Best Murs release, outside 9th, since Love & Rockets (2011).
