Kupiaj, is there a reason you release CD's a year after the release actually comes out?

You're getting on my nerves again, Rölö. But no problem at all. Look, here is your answer: Yes, there is a reason why I'm releasing CDs a year after they actually came out (not handnumbered).

lol thanks man. i noticed you are very sensitive, it was just a question man. no need to get all riled up...just didn't understand why make a cd for something that came out over a year ago and why not make it when it actually dropped...probably make more sales, no?

thanks for not taking another hissy fit and swearing tho...peace!

Sorry but this is a stupid question (no offense), dont you think? Why would I want to do physical copies for something after its initial release (1 or 2 or even 3 years later)? Maybe because its just good music and I think it deserves a proper treatment. Dont care about time, Rolo. Its nothing.

i agree, anything that is dope deserves the treatment, but why wait so long was my question. it wasn't meant to be a dis, and i surely don't think it's a "stupid" question..but thank you for saying it was.

would you prefer me insult you or beef?... i don't get it

I really appreciate when labels press small runs of manufactured cd's ... I'd rather buy 10 of Kupiaj's releases than 1 of those low-quality cd-r's ... what's even worse are mediocre cd-r releases being sold for hundreds of bucks ... what a faggot move to create a buzz...

When I get a CD-r from one of these artists, I immediately hit up Paypal for a refund. I do not support that shit.

FXCK RXP is legit, quality product.

I read that 8-Off - Wrap Your Lips re-issue that Agallah was selling few weeks ago is a CD-R with a cheap and flimsy ass insert. And he was charging $40 for it lulz...

^If you can prove you were lied to or misinformed then PayPal will open a claim. Then it's up to the seller to refund you or if there's enough evidence in your favor and the seller won't refund then PayPal will refund your dough.

^ i see, i can understand where the consumer is coming from in that example...but wouldn't the seller counter and argue that's just how he sells them? it's almost like a philosophy vs. etiquette

at rolo - Yeah, but it rarely happens, fortunately. Usually the seller never responds and Paypal just issues the refund. I've only had to do it twice, but will do it every time I get a CD-r.

ther are certain rare albums id pay maybe 10 bucks for on cd-r but over that and especially for some average ass album is crazy. if someone burned me a copy of street villains 2 from bill and necro and atleast gave me the cover art id pay 8-10 bucks for it.

thanx for the hint, technosapien36 ... until now, I just let Paypal open claims when the seller sent the stuff in a condition that was much worse than stated, and you're right, the sellers never responded...

people on ebay usually completely disregard NO REFUNDS wen specified. its mad annoying, especially wen u give deals. i wanna send a message like try finding this for this cheap somewhere else douchebag, take ur shit and leave me alone. i still have a 99% feedback on ther but thers been 2-3 incidents the last 8 yrs ive sold on ther that stick out like a sore thumb. seriously like 15 back and forth exchanges for an 8 dollar item. people are cheap as fuck to.

All an artist has to do is state that it will be on CD-r on their product page and all of this can be avoided.

I was reading a thread on FB about the 8-Off CD-R where the dude said this...

Ayo! So I've finally received this Wrap Your Lips Around This Limited Edition Re-Issue CD. This is one of the worst home made CDR I've ever seen 😠; I've applied for full paypal refund and in respond Agallah or rather his man has started to convince me this is an official Re-Issue professionaly pressed CD 😂; I don't know if they think people are so stupid or simply they really don't know what's the difference between CD and CDR. I think it 's the highest time to educate rappers, producers and all the people from the music biz what's the difference between those two formats! Anyway the story to be continued...

It was in reference to this CD...

CD-R’s being sold for anything over 20 bucks is the artist being cheap as hell, imo. If the artists value their art so much, why cheapen their music by pressing it to a shitty CD-R? And then they take a pic of the CDs sitting next to their sink and wait weeks to ship them. Divino whatup!

or if ther very first album or debut is pressed on cd-r and ur charging 40 bucks then the sophmore follow up and so on should be handled properly with the money u robbed fans with ur first one.

i know someone shed light on the whole CD-r vs CD thing a while back...but unless you know what to look for on bootleg, most of the time people get taken unfortunately.

i'm not one for that shit, and these artists must know that the community talks, and we speak to each other in order to protect from these things. Now if you know beforehand and are ok with buying CD-r's, then it's whatever...but i can see how some people would be tight about paying X amount of dollars for a cheap CD-r

Especially if it's cheaply pressed with black and white cheaply made inserts. I mean that's some bootleg early 00's shit. And these heads charging an arm and a leg too.

i heard recently that thers a such thing as a "cd rot" especially with cd-rs. once ur able to see thru the other side of the cd it will no longer play right or play at all and thats across the board with video games and dvds.

Daddy Alfredo: never had a problem with a manufactured cd ... I guess, my oldest cd is a japanese copy of "kind of blue" from 1983, and it still has a perfect sound ... as long as you treat a cd carefully and store it in the case, nothing will happen ... but it could be that manufactured cd's are sensitive to sunlight, I don't know...

with cd-r copies, it's completely different ... I recently revisited some stuff I bought in the late 90s, and some of these cd's are no longer readable, even though they look flawless ... seems like it depends on the quality of the cd-r...

disc rot is a thing but the lifespan is 200+ years for any quality disc, game etc. so not a massive thing to worry about "lol"
