Aside from the 7.5 out of 10 I give it, overall... one hint stood out I have to salute... if you heard the bonus track on the album, Caterpillar Remix, then you heard Logic body that verse, sniped it...

Logic verse > Em verse... we arguing or nah?...

Both verses were trash and Logic is a biracial knob gobbler

Logic was also on a PRhyme joint for that re-release of the first EP. He bodied that too. Not better than Em bit the kid could rap his ass off. His music never grabbed me like Emus early stuff did tho.

i dont understand why guys like royce try over and over again to crossover. mainstream fans think ur old as fuck and basically useless and ur ughh fans are pissed u keep putting people like logic on ur albums. i liked prhyme 2 but royce is capable of so much and i dont think it will ever happen. eminem keeps this dude from being broke but marshall is also poison for his career cuz lets be honest eminem hasnt made a good choice for almost 15 yrs now, wats that judgement like royce?

I've yet to get through this whole Book of Ryan but I really like what I've heard so far. Even the couple of more commercial sounding tracks he's flexing on so they are tolerable. I honestly think he's making the shit he likes. Royce does a lot of pop sounding tracks cause it's part of what he's into. When it came to Slaughterhouse they made way too many records in that vein and couldn't find a balance that would make an album sustainable. That shit they dropped on DatPiff was by far the best shit they ever released. Wasn't all four of them on every track but there was a balance within the content and the production was superb for them.

Hows the production on it? That always seems to be his misstep cause he obviously got bars.

This is a good album. Some of the production has commercial appeal but none of the songs on this album lack feeling.

Layers is better...this has a lot of singing from him - muscial vibes and less ill wrapping...also the real concept is only 8 tracks...then there is fire like the track with em and a lot of bs like the track with fab and jadakiss (fuck them trash wrappers)

music is OK...a real Bad Meets Evil album with proper beats d be cool...

wow.

i like this a lot. most of u snobs on here i swear, u guys complain about everything smh

its either too underground (ka) or too commercial cuz of a little soul (royce)

layers, prhyme 1 & 2, and book of ryan are royce's best work yet and solidify him in my top 20 for life.

the story's he shares with us on book of ryan are special. try to appreciate him opening up and telling his story a lil more and stop worrying about the singers/people he chooses to collab with. otherwise miss out on one of the best fire spitters we got left since pun, eyedea, and l passed.

What's fire about basic tales of misdemeanour and alcohol abuse mixed with a lot of singing (which doesn't bother me). That structure is 8 tracks deep - the rest, besides the track with MnM is just random bullshit.

Layers is cool - P Rhyme I and II are absolut sucker shit minus maybe 3 tracks. Also why didn't they keep it all the way hardcore on P Rhyme II when he was to follow with this anyways?

Your assumptions are way off and you might have never experienced real good music from a to z. Not just some patchwork bullshit...

In general: Where is talk about the J. Cole bs? RIGHT, it's dead already...

Swell I checked out that Cocaine song cause of what you said. Ya it started out weird and funny but ended up being a very, very deep and meaningful track.

Such a try-hard, corny rapper. No nuance to how he rhymes. The beats and choruses here didnt help either.

Anyone know if the Caterpillar remix with Logic on the CD? It doesn't appear to be based on what I've seen online.

Anyone buy this album on CD? If so, do the drums on the first 10 seconds or so on Dumb sound distorted and shitty? They do on my copy and I was wondering if its the same on other copies.
