We're going to do 4 rounds (around 50 albums per round as there were around 200 albums nominated) and users are going to vote their Top 5 in order with favorite being number 1 and so on down through 5. The number 1 album is worth 5 points, number 2 album 4 points, etc. The 5 albums that total the most points in each round will advance to the final round, which will be posted on Thursday morning. The second round will go up tomorrow followed by rounds 3 and 4 at different times on Tuesday. Voting for all rounds close when i wake up Thursday morning.

The finals are going to be the 20 albums that won the four rounds plus three wild cards. The three wild card albums will be the three albums from the four rounds with the highest point total outside of the final 20.

Just a friendly reminder, if you vote for less than 5 albums then the point scale is adjusted accordingly for your votes so try to vote for 5.

I had a brain fart and confused Still Standing with Soul Food when i did my earlier ranking. Still a dope album but PR and KP are better.

I'm going to do rounds 2 and 3 tomorrow, 2 in the morning and 3 at night. I gotta work a double on Tuesday so ill just do the last round that morning.

Onyx, Fat Joe, or PA would've been my next pick. Hard to pick an EP though.

fat joe just like busta is someone who had major commercial success with horrible hits but has made a fair amount of good stuff and honestly still could drop a classic in 2018 with the right producer.

You're comparing a solo artist that died in his prime to a group that's been around for 25 years.

Pun was a better emcee than Thought in that era.

pun didnt like white dudes or he woulda ripped eminem to clock. canibus was his favorite rapper. the story joe tells of pun waiting in the studio saying hes coming today like a little kid is amazing. if we got even a 5 track ep in 98 with pun and bis i woulda died.

seriously clock. i cosign u saying in the podcast that out of 15 of these only 4 were justified winners. for gangstarr to beat one of the best rap albums ever, not just 98 proves further that this place is dino era. i prolly could save 5 songs from moment of truth and as honest as i can be, thats prolly alot for my personal taste. but everyone knos pun dropped a classic. come the fuck on.

Classic albums, makes me miss old rap. New rap might have banging beats, but thereís definitely been a trend of devolved lyricism with this next generation.

There are some dope tracks on there but that album was the start of Cube falling off, the Westside connection Bow Down album from 96 was the last project where we would hear Cube at his best, he was angry as fuck on that one lol

Tai Chi is a Top 5 track from all the albums combined in this round. One of, if not my favorite 4th Disciple beat. Only thing that knocked KP down a notch for me was the album was a few tracks too long.
