We're going to do 3 rounds (around 50 albums per round as there were around 150 albums nominated) and users are going to vote their Top 6 in order with favorite being number 1 and so on down through 6. The number 1 album is worth 6 points, number 2 album 5 points, etc. The 6 albums that total the most points in each round will advance to the final round, which will be posted on Thursday morning. The second round will go up tomorrow followed by round 3 on Tuesday. Voting for all rounds close when i wake up Thursday morning.

The finals are going to be the 18 albums that won the three rounds plus two wild cards. The two wild card albums will be the two albums from the three rounds with the highest point total outside of the final 18.

Just a friendly reminder, if you vote for less than 6 albums then the point scale is adjusted accordingly for your votes so try to vote for 6.

That Del is so fucking dope. Probably my second or third favorite behind Deltron and on the same level as No Need For Alarm. Unfortunately it's going up against some heavyweights and personal favorites of mine.

You wanna talk about a letdown, that Firm album was one one of the biggest letdowns of all time.

Not enough voting space but Godd Boddies - Ill Visions and Klondike Kat - Mobbin' Muzik Melodies are both great underground albums.

That Diamond D album is a classic you got to be fkn kidding me. Maybe 4 songs that aren’t amazing on there. Gather Round probably the best song in the history of songs.

Yo LPac weird your cassette says that cause google search says it's a '97 release? Was it re-released in '97 due to clearance issues or some shit? Regardless it's a dope ass album.

I'm confused, how does Soundbombing qualify as an "Album" when it's a DJ Mixtape? And why is the Jurassic 5 EP included???

Slum Village - Fantastic Vol. 1

^If we're talkin about the 1997 cassette album release, then it's just called "Fan-Tas-Tic". It wasn't considered "Fan-Tas-Tic Vol. 1" until 1999. Just sayin...

Future Developement is 1996 bro ive got the original, otherwise that would be in my top 6.

^From what I remember, it was officially released in 1998 on the Hieroglyphics website (recorded in 1996 I believe). Anyone can put (or edit) whatever information on Wikipedia. I was online going to websites in 1998 (HipHopSite, Hiero, etc.) and I remember it.

^^^ur just incredibly particular. i imagine u have underwears that say monday, tuesday and so on. its funny. i am to but im sure clock just wanted to beef up these rounds. i dunno why an ep is here but i voted for it and soundbombing is a comp or enough of one that it should be added. we added a soundtrack for fuck sakes.

As for "Albums", I don't think a Comp or Soundtrack should be included. Same with EP's.

Other let downs were that liks album was boring and the jungle brothers was lacking and average as hell. That bootcamp album was a joke with those weak synthy beats.

Other dope albums were that rascalz is nice, the murs is tight and that orko has some crazy songs on it.

Im seeing no evidence that del was’97.

If we agree del isnt 97 then i’ll change to

re visited that diamond d last night and time didnt help it age nicely. shit is still weak. 4 or 5 dope tracks. some really boring samples and bad beats and diamond sounds uninspired and lacks that light hearted vibe and flowing style. album just feels forced and the whole shift from using breaks to programmed drums didnt help him. showbiz pulled it off great on goodfellas though.
