Baby got back is a rap classic.

Yeah I grew up on the single but never picked up the album.

Baby Got back's production is superb.

I always wonder who did it.

Finally I check and what a pleasant surprise - Rick Rubin made it, Mix wrote it no ghostwriters.

The whole album is produced by Rick Rubin and the album cover is timeless.

On paper - it's totally a rap classic, but I never really heard it to be one.

Whatre your thoughts on it?

Been listening to Hip Hop since early 80s, and never have heard a Sir Mix Alot album, or Young MC, or Tone Loc, or Salt-N-Pepa, Mellow Man Ace, Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, PM Dawn, Father MC, etc

this type of rap just never appealed to me.. instead I was listening to Beastie Boys, Special Ed, NWA, BDP, Geto Boys, Too $hort, Poison Clan, etc

what is the best Sir Mix Alot song? I'm interested in hearing it

Swass holds up with any other 808 albums. Possee on Broadway is a classic notch in his belt Id say.
here ya go market.

Hiphopmrkt - I feel you and think Mix is similar but not quite in that category.

Someone tell Wicked he hurt my feelings in that Prodigy sample topic. I can't post in it for some reason.

But tell him I forgive him, I'm making miney and hope he iz too 💰;
