just listened to it for the first time, initial impressions:

- love the production on here, sonically similar to cvpiid which makes sense since rain did the beats on both. a lot of layers and interesting textures, and i really like the faster paced tracks that almost have a drum n bass type of vibe to them.

- i like that they even brought back that female narrator voice from cvpiid

- not sure how i feel about onry including his daughter violet on this album so much. of course it's pretty sweet/endearing but i'd be lying if i said it wasn't distracting/annoying at points.

- the album really picks up about halfway through, coincidentally as soon as violet's voice stops appearing on the tracks lol. everything from pretty mvch to how should i say this was great.

still going to need to give it some more spins obviously, but right now i think it's a solid, fun album. onry's been killing it these last few years. still want another dark time sunshine record though.

I agree tippi. Second half of the album is absolute fire though. Only listened once but I like it better than the Phillip album so far

listened to it a couple more times since last night, some of the earlier tracks are growing on me a bit. bummer and belfort are both really good. the two that i'm still not 100% feeling are doo wop and holy moly, which both have vocals from violet. i remember hearing that onry's daughter called his album his best yet, and now that makes complete sense to me - because she's all over the first half of it and soem of the tracks seem like they were created specfically with her in mind. it is cool to me that onry involves his kids so heavily into his art and creative process though, he seems like a good dad.

it's possibly that the artwork for this album is supposed to be his daughter and the art for cvpiid is his son, could be wrong though

he released another one of these multi-song music videos like he's done for the last few projects

Not feeling it and it's mostly due to the kid. Bummer.

Also, you have to buy a shirt to get the disc? WTF.

I like it- definitely like his work with Rain and his Darktime Sunshine stuff with Zavala more than when he produces his own album or even more than Grayskul stuff. Hope DTS does another one.
