i will say i think i do like his newer style better and it makes sense cuz hes aged well and progressed. i literally cant think of a producer comp worse than chemical warfare.

Dope but as vinny said, you gotta include Breathing Down Your Neck. Besides the Greneberg tracks you should include these off the Odditorium EP...

Patch made a dope ass Gangrene mix back in like 2012 right after V&A that had loosies and 12 inches on it.

Alchemist always been a decent rapper that got unfair hate. His content is meh but voice/flow dope enough to hold my attention.

Chemical Warfare was 75% skippable garbage though. Ill give you that. Some gems in there but 1st Infantry was DAFFY.

i didnt like 1st infantry that much either. russian roulette was long winded but i prefer that to his early ones. retarded alligator beats and israeli salad were sick tho.

^^^hes 50/50 like most producers. hes elite but i dont hold him ne higher or lower than neone else. the majority of mcs hes worked with holds him higher than he should be, similar to statik. and wat holds someone like preem back is wasting a ton on shit rappers. if premo dropped as many producer comps as statik or alch with those line ups, he'd be the goat no questions asked.

Maybe if we're talking instrumentals but Madlib's hip hop production discog last decade has been underwhelming to say the least. I wouldn't even put him in my Top 10 since 2009. Pinata was overrated and and Bad Neighbor was doo doo.

Yo Drug Smokes who's talking about 2005?

^^Agree! Madlib’s hip-hop output has been almost non-existent for the last 10 years! I think the last decent hip-hop joint he did was the OJ Simpson album with Guilty Simpson, but even that had waaaaaay to many interludes and shit.

I’ve been waiting over 10 years for Madvillain 2, the Supreme Team album with Karriem Riggins, the Professionals album with Oh No. I doubt any of these ever get released at this point.
