So after just going thru all of his albums and ep's I kinda realized I dont really feel his music that much really. He has probably like 10+ projects and I swear there is at least 2 or 3 that I dont feel at all some have at least one good song I feel on it but his first 2 albums are str8 garbage in my opinon now.
His beat choices are very wack sometimes also and he does this yelling/singing type flow alot and raps these weird off beat odd flows on alot of songs and some are also super boring as fuck.
The few songs I do like are really good but I could narrow down his whole catalogue into like 10 songs and live my life never having to hear the other 100 songs he got

Love him. Hes a truly admirable artist imo. Can’t say that I like all the songs, but everything he has written is truly insightful.

Did you listen to Humble Pi?

yeah one of my favs these past ten years. that string of vinyl eps he dropped when he first went to Stones Throw alone solidify him as one of the greats in our time. Without coming off as a wannabee hard ass fake street thug but still have a dope NY Hip Hop sound is a very hard thing to do imo

Edan probably the goatest dude I ever seen.

I was at a Nas concert last summer off a couple tabs of lsd and this dude came up and started kicking it w me and I swore it was Edan. To this day I'm not rly sure lmao. He took the photo for the cover to the Transcendental Bliss mixtape that night.

He’s one of those guys where...you could make a “Best of Homeboy Sandman” mix...with like 20-25 songs and it would be really dope...but there’s a lot of throwaway stuff. Like there’s a lot of stuff that I’ll probably never listen to more than once. However, he’s one of those guys that I get genuinely excited about hearing new stuff from...even though he’s super hit or miss for me...just because I know that he has the capability to do something that I’ll love.

Favorite Tracks:

From LICE with Aesop Rock:
-“Environmental Studies”
-“So Strange Here”
-“Pins and Needles”
-“Comfy”
^^^All really dope

-“Syrup” - Aesop Rock ft Homeboy Sandman & Open Mike Eagle

Solo:
-“Bless Up”
-“Mind Vs. Matter” - L’Orange ft Homeboy Sandman
-“I Saw A World”
-“Stroll”
-“Couple Bars (Honey, Sugar, Darling, Sweetie, Baby & Boo)”
“It’s Cold”
“Yeah But I Can Rhyme Though”
“Strange Planet”
“The Gut”
“Calm Tornado”
“Listen”
“Angels With Dirty Faces”
“Mine All Mine”
“Not Really”
“Watcha Want From Me”
“The Carpenter”
-“Enough”
-“Problems”
