What is the first rap song to reference killing or murder?

I was thinking Grandmaster Flash's The Message (1982) - cause he mentions stick up kids - but that can just allude to Robbery.

So from there I'm thinking maybe One of Schooly D's tracks? Around 1984?

Or maybe an NWA verse?

"When I'm called off, I got a sawed-off
Squeeze the trigger and bodies are hauled off" - Ice Cube on Straight outta Compton -
released August 8, 1988.

So far that's the most blatant reference to murder or killing I've found.

Can anyone find anything earlier than August 8, 1988?

Schoolly D and then Ice-T before NWA i would think and also maybe Just-Ice. Not about to search for lines though.

You mean reference as talking about murder or more like blatant lines by artists saying they will murder? cause i'm sure theres at least a couple lines in the early 80's talking about murder but not threatening it, but as far as outright saying "i'll kill you" etc. i think it was probably those i mentioned above before NWA.

good call on the schoolly D.

Ice T on "6 in da mornin" from 1986 said:

"Deuced it to the Bronx to rest our heads
Where a shoot-out jumped off, nine people lay dead
It sounded like it happened with a Mac-10 blast
But it was 6 in the morning, we didn't wake up to ask"

and:

"Out with my crew, some punks got loud
Shot gun blasts echoed through the crowd
Six punks hit, two punks died
All causalities was applied to their side
Human lives has to pass just for talking much trash
We didn't know who they were, no one had the time to ask"

So Ice was doing it before NWA and i'm not sure Schoolly D said anything about killing fools before '86. some killing references maybe but not the blatant kill talk. i might be wrong but i think i'm close at least.

Damn thank you! See you did do some research, thanks for that.

So far we have the murder reference:
Ice T - 6 in da morning - 1986

And blatant "I'm gonna kill you"
Ice Cube - Straight Outta Compton - August 8, 1988

Can anyone find anything earlier?
