^as you can tell im annoyed and i dont respect charging amounts that many loyal fans cant afford- so only fans with loot can have certain projects. its cheesy, tacky, elitist! especially in hip hop- that high price shit is some weak shit and NOT hip hop at all.

a lot of people consider this a bold move, like he's that confident about the quality of his music that he prices it so highly because that's truly what he believes its worth.

honestly to me though it kinda seem like it might be the other way around. he has to rely on this gimmick because otherwise no one would be talking about him. othewise he could let the music do the talking. yeah you could say what he's doing a smart move, but what if the real reason for this is because he KNOWS that his fanbase won't grow much larger than it is now and he's trying to milk this shit for all it's worth before people realize what he's doing. 88 said something about him not having longevity before, maybe he's right. some "half as long, twice as bright" type shit. he has to rely on the few fans he has dedicated enough to drop ludicrous amounts of money on his albums, because otherwise he wouldn't make any money at all.

man what if when he decides he wants to stop rapping he puts out an project limited to like 1 copy for 10 grand and it's nothing but him freestyling about how dumb the person who bought the album is. he won't even record the vocals beforehand, he'll wait until the person buys it so he make it personal and refer to the buyer by name.

^its almost as weak as rza putting that wu album in a stupid box and selling it only to that pharma prick for a million.

thats subtle code by rza saying hes with the global elite NOT hip hop. clown ass rza.

i remember someone saying earlier that fahim's music and the way he chooses to price it is analogous to paintings by famous artists selling for a million dollars.

the thing is, you're not paying a million dollars for a painting you haven't seen. you see the painting first, decide you like it and want to buy, and THEN you pay the money for it. you know what you're getting. the difference is that with fahim you have no idea you're paying for if the album is streamable or available for digital purchase at a reasonable price. it's baffling to me that someone would pay that much money for an album they haven't heard and know nothing absolutely nothing about.

^its elitism tippi. the type of people that will buy it and keep it to themselves. many people use rap to build up there ego so if they think there 1 of 21 that has the album they feel they have a 1 up. self defeating shit for dummies. fahims wrong- its not a hip hop move to only sell to people who can afford that kind of loot for 1 album. he's taking it too far.

I get if he wants to do this to make a quick thousand or two. But if he continues charging that type of amount or even $100 per copy then he's not going to be talked about a year from now. Right now from a promotional standpoint it's working great as every Fahim thread ends up a minimum of 2 pages on here. And that's without the actually album being discussed in some cases. But doing this type of thing long term is going to alienate his fans and they'll just stop following altogether.

I think long term he'll eventually go back to his normal pricing of $20-$25 for each project with the occasional spike in price.

To be fair, up until a couple months ago all of his projects were priced pretty fairly before this insane price hike.

^rolo- you been good here- just fsahims practices are questionable. no judgement from me to anybody buying this if they can BUT artists should keep it hip hop and affordable to ALL PEOPLES! or else!

wats crazy is if and wen cds make a come back, prolly 15-20 yrs from now, not only will fahims shit be super expensive and worth a ton but alottttt of these limited cd runs. like remember 2017. now its 2035 and these things are worth a fortune. its an investment if ur smart and ur not a butt sniffer fan. ther worth 10 bucks max music wise but if u use them to buy a new truck or get a new floor in ur kitchen, ur doing this limited shit right and u can be an adult about it. the majority of his shit should be free if hus, roze and smoovth dropped everything free for yrssss on digicrates. and ther still free !!!!

Fahim is pretty delusional if you ask me. And fans willing to pay that kinda money just feed his delusions. Also it's already reached gimmicky status. It seems rappers these days just talk themselves up endlessly and people dive right in. This whole new generation are always on some " I listen to my own shit on repeat. It's classic material". lol. Cracks me up.
