i remember rza announcing back when 8 diagrams came out that capp was a member now, but i feel like, when referring to the members in later interviews, he's said the 8 members, rather than 9. i can't remember now, but it's always been kind of inconsistent with whether or not capp's an "official" member or not. because later he was at the better tomorrow conference, like he was a member. i just consider him a full member, even if the others sometimes only talk about being a group of 8 in interviews.

i wish i could reference the interviews i'm talking about here, but i've read so many damn wu interviews over the years, it feels like it'd be impossible to find. there was one rae did, i remember. i think it was with hiphopdx. i can't remember. ahh. damn wu-tang.

Isn't this more or less like Chamber Music or Legendary Weapons? Trife da god appeared twice on LW, whoever he is.

that's exactly what i thought, when i saw the tracklist. i even thought pearl harbor was previously released on one of those two. looked familiar.

it's too bad it isn't, tbh. lil fame and his production crew provided some nice beats on those projects, imo, and mathematics hasn't really been putting out any quality music lately.

^it is like chamber and legendary in a way and i like those. hope this album is dope- not trying to diss wu- just rza has needed to make it happen extra proper like for 15 years and hasnt.

the original wu is 8. everybody on enter the 36. the rest are add ons.

all three of those guys are cousins. when it was just the three of them, they went by the group name, all in together now. hence, this track:

Actually, we had an “All In Together Now” crew, which was Dirty, RZA and myself. There was a song that we have done years ago, me and Dirty, it was like with a human beat box MC, the Doug E. Fresh, and it was called “All In Together”. You know that song was kind of well-known in the neighbourhood, people was hearin’ it. Like, years later when I got signed, I met Biz Markie, he said: ”Yo Genius, don’t you want a deal with “All In Together”?” you know, he was hearin’ this tape, and, as years came and passed on, we were the “All In Together Now” crew and, we changed out names, different types, staying MCs, they do that, you know, years ago we had different titles, different names, we were the “All In Together Now” crew. You hear, Dirty mentioned it a lot in his rhymes… That was us

HHC: Can you tell us a few words about your first group: All In Together Now, that you had created with GZA and ODB. How did you sign with Tommy Boy? And why didn't you release anything under this moniker?

RZA: All In Together Now was never signed to no label. See, me, GZA and ODB had a crew called FOI: Force Of The Imperial Master, nahmean? We made a song, called ‘All In Together Now', which became famous on tapes throughout Brooklyn , Staten Island , New York, all the way down to Miami. I remember Biz Markie, when he was famous and I wasn't famous, and he was like: "Yo! I heard that shit! Your song with Ason Unique and the Specialist". I was the Scientist. So we never got signed as a group back then. We never had a serious record deal under that title.

This has potential for sure. Not one track on there that made me cringe in that it could be auto wack. Maybe G'd up cause i have no clue who the other two are besides Method Man. Other than that it's almost all core members with Rza thankfully taking a backseat and letting Mathematics handle the production. I won't hold my breath for this to be top shelf but best case it could end up being Top 10. The first single is dope...

^Pretty much which is why if he produced this album it'd be garbage bag before i hit play. At least Mathematics has the potential to still produce dope shit. Math probably told Rza he wanted to put Wu back on the fucking map so to step the fuck aside and let him cook up some heaters and now some poor mans AY shit like A Better Tomorrow.

i predict it will be good (an improvement from a better tomorrow) but just good. probably will sound too polished(not sounding raw or dusty etc) with pseudo raw soulful beats. probably with weak drums plus bogged down by a few singing choruses and no name rappers.

hmm. my expectations were super low for this release, but i ain't mad at that first single, tbh. not bad.

looks like the tracklist in the OP is incomplete, since none of the wu members on the single are named in the tracklist, under the people say track. just redman. so gza and u-god might actually be on this album, for all we know.

Anytime Wu-Tang drops and album without including the word "Clan" in the artist name, I am skeptical, but I have a feeling based off of the first couple of songs that dropped that this will be a solid project. Still disappointing to see some of the core members missing. That joint with Deck and GZa on the Masta Killa album really made me wish the whole team was on board for this one.

Remember all the hype about dude after O.D.B died he was supposed to replace him or fill in the gap they did a couple projects together then nothing for years.
They never on his solo shit either.
