The beats and mixes are done purposly for a desired sound. You'd be crazy to think they are mixed all muddy like that accidentally

that's beside the point. i understand Roc is targeting a certain audience for his music but there are people that wanna get into this and are immediately turned away because of the vocals not blending well. that's one complaint i hear all the time. im good tho..

The whole Vibe is gutter. No problem with the mix.It fits the whole dusty street aura that Roc brings.
Only the dum are intrigued by the drum.

Roc Marciano is one of the best rappers to do it. He brings something very very dope to the game in terms of lyrics, beats and style.

I'm grateful as fuck he made this.

I wonder who the original peeps on ughh were about him during UN and Flipmode to Marcberg?

I first heard about him here and there was alot of hype and rightfully so.

I was listening to him I think a bit before Marcberg when Snow dropped as a solo joint.

Even that was late in the game to catch him.

I still never heard that one with the red revolver on the cover.

Reloaded I think?
Clock loves that one.

On second, and much more thorough listen with some smoke and a good video game...this is so goddamn good!! Lyrically Roc seems to have that old energy where he's having fun in the booth and just ripping it.

I don't like the bedspring track--some popular song did that awhile ago and it just sounds...sleazy.

Otherwise I like every single track a LOT and theres a nice amount of variety to the beats. AOTY so far, easily

I've been listening to this non stop since I copped.

To me it's amazing.

'The Sauce' is some disgusting shit. I keep putting that shit on repeat.

Bohemian Grove is next level. One of his best tracks ever.

I swear to God, I must be listening to another album or some shit. Roc's flow and raps are on point, I've got nothing bad to say whatsoever about that, he's dope. But let's talk these fucking beats...

1. Respected - Meh it's alright, kinda sounds like something Mega would have picked back in the day. For an intro track I guess it's not bad but nothing special at all. 2.5/5
2. Tent City - too busy, this loop is all kinds of fuckery to be going on for 3 minutes. 2/5
3. Bohemian Grove - Dope. Not bouncing off the walls like some of you but it's the first solid beat. 4/5
4. Corniche - More boring shit. Sounds like an 80's sitcom sample. Garbage. 2/5
5. CVS - Terrible. Sounds like an "8 Diagrams" throwaway beat. 1.5/5
6. Saks Fifth - Terrible. This shit sounds like a calypso lesson for old people on a cruise ship. Jesus fucking Christ. 0/5
7. Major League - Good Jaylib Champion Sound impression. This one is alright but I'm still falling asleep, again nothing special. 2.5/5
8. Bedspring King - Love this beat. Boxspring sample could have been chopped in better but still overall this is my man Roc's shit. 4/5
9. The Sauce - My new favorite song off Radiohead's Kid A. Thom Yorke spitting flames on this. 3.5/5
10. Happy Endings - Soft Little Brother shit, I hate these kinds of beats, fuck off. 1/5
11. Kill You - Best track on the record. Love this fucking song. Gonna have to clip this and cut it into Reloaded or something. That gritty low-fi shit I want from Roc 4.5/5
12. 67 Lobby - You gotta be fucking kidding me. How the fuck you gonna pick this beat to put on an actual album? This is like Ill Bill and Nas in the same room combining to pick the worst beat in the pack. 0/5
13. Muse - You're not Ghostface. 1/5
14. Pimp Skit - Who cares. 1/5
15. Power - Dope. Mix is horrendous but it's a dope outro. Too bad everything before kinda sucked dick. 3/5

8 years later I still pull out Marcberg, pour my Macallan Edition No.3, and ponder on what grade of weed, laced or not, Roc was smoking when he made this.

8 years from now with this RR2 album, I wouldn't crack the seal from a Red label given to me as gag gift for this.

You have tracks like " The sauce" that sound like a morbidly depressed throwaway track from odd future that Tyler wouldn't do line too if you gave it to him uncut and served from Escobar's ghost.

If this is best album of the year, then I'll have to spin some Migos because telling what little friends i have left who listen to rap music anymore that UGHH is still good with this reference, I'll just play some BET and keep my mouth shut.

JFC, I needed this album too.

crOwcaine my man, how it goes sir?

I am a little behind with the shows. I had a son over a year ago so a lot of things are on hold for now. I am watching Westworld and can't wait for season 2. GOT, and the deuce. Watch some chef vs con and spot the cons 80% of the time.

Any recommendations?

Congrats man. Did you like The Deuce? I had high expectations and I tried real hard but I just wasn't digging that shit. That creep fuck Franco doubled is way too much grease face for me man. I watched The Dark (English subs) that was descent and I got through Peaky Blinders. PB was pretty good, it gained momentum and had a really good fourth season.

LMAO he did have that Rozay look. I'm indifferent with the Deuce. TBH, I'll watch some of season 2 but it will be the deciding factor if I continue to roll with it or not. Francos twin needs to get building dropped ASAP

What up Nerdy, no clue. I was worried PB was turning a bit into MacGyver in season 2 and 3 but it found it's way in 4 for sure. Lemme ask you this, would you fuck the horse training bitch or would you punch her in the mush? She's hot and gross at the same time, my dick is perplexed. You?

LMAO, had the same debate with a buddy at work. He said no.

I'd absolutely fuck. If Tommy knocked up the family slut, who looks like a deformed big bird on stilts, he should absolutely have no problem smashing the rich horse loving dick broad.

I'd fuck the horse broad over his dead wife. Fuck that bitch.

The horse bitch has a little bit of that frozen stunned Eminem face going on, but on the other hand she's a dick craving widow more than likely to let you put it in her ass as long as you don't leave right after. LOL, your description of the Big Bird chick is point blank. Whoever plays Capone ain't fucking with my man that played him in the GOAT Boardwalk Empire.

That Bohemian Grove is kind of repetitive to me - but why is it nearly the exact same song as Superdry? Like same vocals over same loop and same lalalala break just faster.

Corniche and Power.

Every producer sounds like the Godfather lately. Not a bad thing, some loops are too repetitive though, even on Giallo shit and others.

So after multiple listens, I can say that I am a bit disappointed in this one. RR1 was in my top 5 last year, this one is so where near that level. Like I said before, I do not think there any tracks I consider wack, but damn, the majority of these tracks are just mediocre to the point of boring. 4 good tracks, the rest I can live without. Sucks because I was really looking forward to this as the first one was so great.
