gave it a listen about an hour ago, was kind of underwhelmed but i can't really pinpoint the reason why. the album sounds good, i think it just might be due to the number of new albums i heard today, might have to listen to it with a fresh pair of ears. all the features did their thing though for sure, and hearing song of the singles in the context of the album actually made me appreciate them more.

standout tracks on first listen:
2. blame the author
4. parlor magic
5. the difference
9. things are just props
12. anywhere is just everywhere i haven't been before

kind of underwhelmed

the album sounds good

all the features did their thing though for sure

and hearing song of the singles in the context of the album actually made me appreciate them more.

and then i proceeded to list my favorite tracks on the album, which was like half the album. but nah, you're right i clearly said i wasn't feeling it.

you seem a little slow, no wonder it takes you 5 years to determine if an album is good or not

i'm not getting bent out of shape at all lol, but you really do look like a retard with no reading comprehension skills by cherrypicking the one slightly negative comment i made and ignoring all the positives. if that was your goal then congratulations though.

yesterday there were like 5 albums that came out that i wanted to hear. i saved this album for last because it's the one i had the highest expectations for, and it simply didn't meet those expectations. doesn't mean i think it's a bad album or that i didn't like it, it just didn't blow me away.

this guy isnt the producer comp type. his shit is so out ther that it needs focus with one rapper or group. damn shame

i actually disagree with this. i think l'orange could pull off an actual producer album really well. he just has never fully committed to it. the tracks with features on here are my favorites. i think he could make a dope album featuring all the different rappers he worked with over the years, like willie green did last year with his doc savage album.

This is actually dope as fuck. Bumped it front to back driving around today. Not one thing i skipped past. Even the instrumentals thump. If it holds up over next few listens this is easily going to be Top 10 of the year. Great use of samples.
