Illmatic is a hip hop Mt. Rushmore album so no explanation needed.

Nastradamus is the best commercial album of all time. Songs like Project Windows with Isley's vocals just tugging on my heartstrings and a song like Family where Nas and Mobb show you what crew love is all about are the perfect compliment to each other. I closed my eyes while listening to Shoot Em Up and felt as if i was in a dimly lit projects hallway, my index finger glistening with sweat, tugging on that 9 milli trigger time after time after time. You Owe Me is an anthem for anyone that's ever been beaten in a drug deal to bump when they go collect their debt. Big Girls is an ode to women of all shapes and sizes. The range of topics and the emotion put into each song make this my personal favorite Nas album, even more so than Illmatic.

All of the other Nas albums were decent but i could just never play front to back. Too many skippable songs on them. I Am just missed the cut on my list.

I'm assuming most of you heads agree with me in my OP but for those that don't tell me why you don't agree and name me better. I don't think it's possible to do so.

It Was Written is his best album

Best production start to finish

First east coast artist to get a Dr.Dre beat

Lol at putting Nastradamus before that or even Stillmatic

Yo Don while It Was Written had a lot of good stand alone songs, it had too many i skipped past for it to make the cut. The same with Stillmatic.

Nastradamus is superior in every way. The title track/video was my favorite of '99...

^LOL

Rottin To Da Core just had more replay value to me than Liquid Swords. Those silly, juvenile Kung Fu skits break up the flow of the album. Rottin To Da Core is straight up hip hop, no questions asked.

if it was a legit controversial opinion like plat. dudes just old.

Iron Flag > Wu-Tang Forever isn't a legit opinion, controversial or not. That's just an idiotic remark from a boarder who litters the forum with idiot remarks.

As tippi said, it's a 100% parody thread. If it got to two pages actually debating this id be seriously concerned for the future of the forum.

This explanation is amazing...

ROTTIN RASCALZ is better than LIQUID SWORDS... it's simple man, them each back to back and u will see... beatwise first of all... ROTTIN RASCALZ is untouchable... LIQUID SWORDS does have it's shining moments, but dips here and there from a production standpoint.. Lyrically LIQUID SWORDS might be better, but ROTTIN RASCALZ has that energy that just cant be turned down! The two MC's work well together and that's of KAYGEE's best production! I'm sure u will get a more emotional rush from ROTTIN as apposed to LIQUID SWORDS.. better skits, better interludes, each track back to back is steller! u will feel it more! Music is emotion transmitted into sound...

lol i like how he's straight up telling you that you'll feel it more and that you'll get more of an emotional rush, even though 99% of people will tell you liquid swords is the better album hands down.

this gem: "ROTTIN RAZKALS, FOESUM, EAZY E, NINE albums are all superior bro. Just put those joints in and let them ride" hahahahahaha!

and

"If you played ROTTIN RAZKALS first, then LIQUID SWORDS right after and have to make a decision as to which one to buy... I'm sure it would be ROTTIN RAZKALS "

hes like the pee wee herman of rap fans.

i know it's a joke thread, but my serious answer is illmatic, it was written, lost tapes, and n*gger tape. that's it. the rest is terribly inconsistent, and you're better off making compilations.

Yeah iLLmatic no question, It Was Written was good, but had fillers, nas just chose the wrong tracks to rap over, like Nas Is Comin prod by Dre on It Was Written was a bad beat... U can't fault dre, the issue is Nas... To Quote VLAD from VLAD TV...

"Nas has to be the worst beat picker of all time"

I kinda agree, cause lyrically he's amazing but yeah the majority of his albums has like 3 or 4 good tracks and the rest is filler in terms of the beats on it. Why nas Why? U need large professor alongside u to make a good iLLmatic type album again!
