I have ToneDen and have followed them through my fb and spotify. I've grabbed their free releases in the past with no issue but I'm getting a recurring request to follow Conway on Spotify (which I already did). Anywho, DotGotIt has a download on their Audiomack:

How do you know it's just a preorder and not "shipping now" ?

By the way - I love they kept it old school with proper 4+ minute songs, not some oh so popular these days having 2 minute interludes instead of proper songs projects, lol

Only one time through but this is pretty fucking DAFFY. Hard hitting beat after hard hitting beat, especially once you get past the first track. The drumless beat haters are gonna love this shit.

The only pet peeve i got is the beat on Th3rd. I've said it before but Daringer is terrible at vocal sample looping. It becomes repetitive and annoying like a minute into the track. That's the recurring thing with his vocal sample looped tracks damn near every time. Other than that tho his other beats on here are flames. You know what you're getting with Conway so if you go in with that mentality and not expecting some next level lyricist then you'll dig it.

Trump, Die On Xmas, Rodney Little, Mandatory, and Bullet Klub the top shelf bangers for me.

Born Dead - I thought the same thing.

So I went to Conway's twitter and it says pre order the limited edition CD.

So then I went back and ordered it.

I heard the album on my way to work and honestly feel it's the strongest hip hop album this year.

This or HMK2 for me.

his flow gets old after 3-4 songs. it sounds amateur as fuck. all the features are washed up to and i love royce but i could care less bout styles p and raekwon at this point. and daringer is another 1 outta 10 good beats producer. tired of his dumb ass guitar samples. i think rolo is right. ther done. i dont think gunn or conway will make a solid front to back 14-15 track album thats good or not full of some slow ass try hard shit.

^^this ...i think, and i'm sure many will agree, they peaked in 2016. they had a slid 2 year run, but 2017 wasn't good for them at all, despite them constantly trying to convince you otherwise. unfortunately, i think their best releases are now behind them

DJ ROLO is on point.

IMO they should have just not released Reject on Steroids or More Steroids and saved some of the original production on that for this. Songs like Dead Bodies Left, Spurs, Rick Boxes, Buckey Phillips, or 3 Bodies would've been nice additions on here.

I think Reject 2 will go down as Conway's best project. Reject 2 is 9 joints and I don't skip any of them.

Also, Conway's projects really suffer without a little WSG (at least on a hook or two) to change things up.

There's never gonna be a ton of depth in Conway, but I would have shelved a few songs like The Cow or Been Through It All for this. The rollout for this album was not good, and I think they're starting to over-saturate.

Conway says he has Reject 3 ready to go in Q1 of 2018, and besides that song '94 Ghost Shit prod. Alchemist, or the Hall & Nash 2 project, I am ready for a bit of a break.

A lot of speculating in here.

We wont know till we see what they drop and this g.o.a.t. Album is really dope so im optomistic. They proved they still got it and keeping it so raw with all the hard drums should restore some faith in peoples minds.

Dont be too quick to plot the downfall.

As much as I can understand where everyone is coming from, I personally enjoy being able to continue getting free music in the vein of their formula while we wait for something bigger. Whether or not something bigger will ever come remains to be seen.

I do think they shot themselves in the foot a little pushing this as if it was going to stop space and time when it dropped, announcing it and releasing the artwork a year and change in advance, giving an production and feature artist list that didn't come full circle only to drop something that sounds very similar to everything they've dropped in the prior 2 years. I enjoy this project. I think it's dope. But the hype made me want it to be something a little more special than what it is.

It doesn't stray too far away from what made Reject 2 so great in reality, but the fact of the matter is, the newness of this style no longer exists and despite it being very good, the luster can wear off if there's not some measure of reinvention. Something needs to feel new about it and that to me is all that's keeping this from having that impact. But again, I do really like it.

I think Alfredo is spot on by saying a little WSG sprinkled in would go a long way to break the monotony. The features are solid, but if you're gonna just give us the trademark Griselda sound, don't cut Westside completely out of it. His presence made the El Camino EP that much stronger. I think he would've had the same impact here, even with just a hook somewhere.

I didn't burn the hell out of that Banks track previously so that one still fits in with the rest of the project for me but Rodney Little (despite sounding good where it is) is a little too much of a blast from the past for me when it comes on cause I did burn the hell out of that when it dropped. Not a real complaint, but it's a bit weird hearing it in the mix of everything else that's still new to me.

LEX718 you hit the nail on the head.

Personally I would be enjoying this more without like you said...the insane amount of hype behind this.

I really think with their sound, that it benefits them to drop something like once a year.

Evidence is dropping his first LP since 2011 next month, and somewhere between dropping 1 release every six years and dropping 3 releases within one year is the sweet spot.

I know you have to walk a fine line and keep people fed without giving them too much. But like you said...there's not enough repetition in their sound to release so much on such a regular basis.

And WSG was sorely needed. I heard that they took a few of the joints with him and are setting them aside for Hall & Nash 2, but even if WSG doesn't want to be a rapper first, he's a crucial element to their sound.

IRC there was no WSG on ANY of Conway's 3 2017 releases.

Lol at people saying these ill beats suck. There dope as hell. Simple but effective and some beats have subtle details added. Some of the best beats of the year. And the alc beat is nuts. People are buggin.

Shit dosnt need to be complex, layered etc-many of those type of beats suck.

Hard drum breaks and ill samples. Many classic tracks are produced the same and just as simple.

Nothing to complain about with this album. People just being picky to feel sharp.

Decent listen. Would spin again.

The beats definitely don't suck, but it is the same method and approach on evey song. I personally like a bit of change ups and production, but straight up simple loops repeating for 4 mins is what all these kinda cats go for, and it still works. Conway is solid with the raps, no doubt. But he's far from the GOAT.
