i hadnt listened to this since it came out and i dunno why but ive listened to it 3 days in a row now and its so fucking good. the bounce on the beats is exactly the type of shit i like outta new york rap and nobodies shit sounds like that nemore. jada used to get beats like this album. but its damn near perfect. wat made me pull this out was listening to a jay-z demo tape i have and sauce is all over it. really odd yr for something this good to come outta new york with such big features like jay and diddy to. if i was to put this toe to toe with the half a mil album its no contest. really wondering wat don barzini thinks of this. quickly becoming a mainstay in my headphones tho.

favorite tracks:

We Gonna Rock
For My Hustlaz
Middle Finger U
Face Off 2000 ft. Jay-Z
Chart Climbin
Intruder Alert
Pre-Game ft. Jay-Z
Whats My Name

Cs Don. This album sucks but Sauce was dope. He has that crazy track that started “watch out for your friends...” that song is nuts.

“watch out for your friends...” ^^ that's "Against The Grain", Premo laced the beat.

Sauce was really nice. one of the few that i can say held his own with jay or out did him.

after his singles, tracks with jay, Dead or alive still one of my favorites, i was looking forward to his solo album.

It was a let down IMO. Great rapper with a missing classic. beats just didn't settle right for me.

I think Sauce and az album from 97 times would have been really nice.

This album was crap.

The early demos, produced by DJ Clark Kent:
"action speaks louder than words"
"Get off my di..." feat Jay Z

Those were circa '94 and were so dope...shame he never dropped anything in that era...

Never felt this album much. When this dropped there was so much better shit out. Nowadays this sounds near perfect next to the bullshit that’s out.

It did have a few joints though.

by todays standards this is flawless but seriously by back then its half good if u just say my favorite joints are the only good ones. but the rest is solid. trust, i kno how good 96-00 rap was or atleast the really good shit, this stands out to.

clock i hope u look at this thread as an example of how i dont troll or try to be different on purpose but id take this album over a few of the early 90s "classics" if not half of em. especially pre 94 shit.

jay left alot of dudes in the dust and brought on beans and bleek instead. in ther own right i loved bleek and beans and still like sigel but sauce and jaz-o woulda been a nasty group with jay.

I don't think you're trolling. It's just this album was a disappointment back then and it really doesn't hold up well now, save for a few tracks. It probably wouldn't crack my Top 30 albums of 2000.
