2017 is the first year Iíve been so into rap that Iíve come onto the forum but after seeing all the nominations for AOTY, Iíve realized Iím unfamiliar with nearly every single one mentioned. How do you all know all this stuff is coming out? Is there a good site to check release dates? What are your primary ways of listening?

we just check this site and many check the hip hop bootleggers site that puts up many new albums every day as soon as shit drops. as far as release dates-i usually just find those on bandcamp or word of mouth on here. i usually just find out like i said above-on here or HHB (hiphopbootleggers)-the 2 best places for underground rap.

i also check the VK hip hop pages which are great also.

if you follow people on bandcamp, any albums they buy will show up in your bandcamp feed. you also get emails when artists you follow release new projects.

i use rateyourmusic and the "upcoming" section on my profile show upcoming album release dates based on what i've rated

i also a lot of new music through the podcast/radio show that uncommon nasa does with samurai banana podcast, uncommon radio.

and of course threads on here and other sites.. twitter, HHB, okayplayer, grownuprap, etc.

Thanks everyone! I just downloaded bandcamp and I will start perusing through what is on there. Really interested in the Uncommon Nasa radio show too. How much do you all spend on music? I just do Apple Music and have about 30-40 CDs.
