Initial thoughts:

-Definitely better than the first record.

-It caters more towards Bill's goon-style vibe.

-No real bangers or hard drums; it's consistent though and features better flows and rhymes than their previous attempt.

-Ultimately, if you're a fan of either emcee, you'll enjoy it, if you're looking for a reason to trash it, I'm sure you'll find a reason to.

^goats fro sure gino. haha

i heard the album and its dope. 2 weaker synthy beats that dont really fit in is my only issue. there lyrics are on point- they've stepped it up a bit actually, some ill samples, raw beats. Goretex punches in to much though.

This album is fucking banging. Whats the production line up on this? Giallo did beats on here?

Only track I'm not feeling as much upon first listen is If He Dies, He Dies. Other than that it's all heat rocks. I don't mind the Goretex punch ins and he kills all his spots...

Not the biggest Paz or Bill fan of late but i much prefer them over these beats then standard boom bap. Album gonna be on repeat for awhile.

Incredibly boring album, its the same type of rapping of 2005 we have heard for so many years now, totally uninspiring - even though its supposed to be "heavy metal" sounding its nothing of its sort, there is no theme at all. But it is really the beats that lack the greatest.
Why didnt they get Stoupe to produce? Or Necro (if they only could bury that hatchet).

Vinnie Paz is nothing without JMT and especially Stoupe.
He's rapping solo is just like any other soundcloud rapper.

Ill bill sounds as uninspiring as he have for the past 10 or so years, he is nothing without Necro beats. I dont like his voice, way of rapping either these days, compare his voice today vs future is now or even whats wrong with bill album.

Goretex, have not stayed off the drugs? Check is eyes in the "bad hombres" video.
Thing is he seems to be too lazy to actually commit to rapping, art of dying was dynamite, then he waited some 10 years and dropped a type of myspace-rapper-sounding album, awful.
He is nothing without Non Phixion and a Necro beat.

I don't understand the love Goretex gets at all, he's bearable, but he's said the same shit over and over in the same way forever.

He took the average gangster rapper template and applied scumbag lyrics to it.

He was cool for a second when I was 16-17, but holy shit, it doesn't need to go on past that...

As for the album, it sounds better than I expected. Bill didn't record this on his usb microphone at his horse ranch in North Carolina, which is something.

None of the three are really breaking any ground lyrically anymore.

What i dig about Goretex is his voice, flow, and content, regardless of how repetitive it might come across. His serial killer/gore/drug lyrics more specifically. The alien/conspiracy theory shit i don't even hear as much.

Couple more times through this album and i can say it's one of the better ones I've heard this year. Not really saying much but still it's dope.

I don't care what anyone says but this is the type of underground hip hop i live for. Murky,Dark,Classical. Vinnie and Ill Bill still have epic voices, hardbody lyrics. Goretex sounds great on these kind of beats also.

I still miss that dark classical boom bap Stoupe sound but these type of beats really are proper.

The first one was extremely underrated imo. So far I like what I've heard off the second, very hardcore like always, in a way not many can pull off. Sadly, the style they are presenting has been done to death, and their verses are very generic Vinnie and Ill Bill, way less inspired than the Non-Phixion and JMT days. I like that Bill has made up with Goretex and gave him a bunch of guest spots to make up for all the years he was kicked out of the crew. Some AOTP or LCN guest spots would be nice. Diabolic, Slaine, Apathy or any of those east coast underground hardcore dudes would be welcome, lest it feel like just a novelty side project for them.
I also wish I knew who the producers were, and there don't seem to be any answers posted anywhere online yet.

Overall its a good effort, but both artists have been dwindling in quality for the past 6 years or so, and this doesn't do much to reverse the trend.

gotta correct some rushed judgement, assumptions on here.

1) they all sound inspired and energetic. rhymes are mostly on point.

2) there are 2 or 3 bangers.

3)not better than HMK1 but very dope.

some of the hardest tracks of the year easily.

lol at SAMe3 creating an account just to talk shit about the album - did bill or vinnie diss you at a show or something?

and for those who dont get why Goretex is dope you need to listen closer. his vocab and wordplay, obscure references, voice, intensity are all above average.

people hating just to hate again. people been auto/blind hating, assuming, generalizing about bill and vinnie for a decade when vinnies album from last year is dope, hmk 1 from 2011 is very dope, ill bills last solo from 2014 is crazy. its like people need to shoot down bill and vinnie to make your egos feel secure. its not legit- their dope, solid, legends! and as for peoples inaccurate, non credible, negative opinions- its not real guy!

^ a negative generalization and assumption.!

all this use of buzz words to discredit HMK is laughable. dudes come with a strong album and people got their heads in the sand pretending its"angry teen" or "wigger" or "uninspired" etc. nice try. you listen to other intense, angry, negative shit and dont complain!

yall just hate cause your jelly? cause their white? are you being honest with yourself about this album?

beats are very dope though- hows that teen? and their references and substance are more advanced than immature teen shit. lyrically their on point with vocab and substance way beyond socalled "angry teen" shit. delivery and style is intense and inspired- nothing to do with teens. lol. and there old cause their 42? how old are you 18?

i think a few people in this thread are just jealous of the legends putting another dope album under their belt.

when we say uninspired we need to be more specific cause they sound inspired energy wise. verses are delivered with intensity and personality etc. some verses are average- yes. im assuming some of you mean the writing was uninspired? maybe some of it was.

the only bad song to me is "killing technology" with that corny hook and that played out generic style synth beat. seems like every vinnie project has to have one or 2 of those turds in the punch bowl.

i listened to this album and gems from the equinox all weekend....and to my surprise I actually preferred this album. I thought the production was more interesting and while the mc'ing isn't great by any means, it's at least passionate. having gore all over this album helped it flow much better than their first record (this blows that album out of the water, tbh).

I don't get excited by bill and Vinnie anymore, but when they get proper production they can still hold it down, and I'd say this was proper....Egyptian moses and bad hombres are my favorite tracks...absolute bangers.

There are many words really,
uninspired, generic, lacklusting, what we mean is that, this type of rap have been done not 1 time but 1000s times for the past 2 decade now, its not really interesting anymore.

As someone else said, "...but to each his own i guess"

^most types of rap been done for 2 decades but you jump in to specifically point that finger at HMK? dosnt matter how long its been done. if the samples are dope and the drums are dope, the emcees hold it down then its dope. dont need to reinvent the wheel to make dope rap.

^im saying "played out" styles done really well can produce dope albums and i think HMK did just that. theres creativity with all the vocal clips on 9 songs too, Goretex adds flavor also. i think people arnt being objective when they say its a weak album and i think some are auto hating and maybe even have an agenda.

The three straight joints Giallo produced is the best part of the album to me. All three are fucking flames.

Any update on who produced the other tracks on the album? This stayed on repeat today.

This sets the mood/tone for the entire album...
