Muggs x Meyhem Lauren - Frozen Angel EP (Done, waiting for vinyl to be pressed)

Soul Assassins project

DOOM project

I'm not gunna lie, I'm hype as fuck for these joints coming out!! I's about time Muggs dropped some serious hard hip-hop shit!

Looking forward to most of these projects!

He posted a snippet of the Jump Around remix... sounded dope for what it is.

Also looking forward to more Muggs x Meyhem joints.

Not really heard much by Lil Eto so that's probably my least anticipated from the list.

There's a book called Elephants On Acid, about the most bizarre experiments in history.

Not sure if that's where Muggs got the title from, but I remember an interview where Muggs said it's going to be a very experimental art piece, like a full on listening experience. Lol.

I think it's going to be some next level shit, the few small snippets that he's dropped on IG over the last few months sounded ill.

Last spring Roc said the album with Muggs was dropping over that summer. Obviously I knew that was bullshit the minute he said it but it makes me skeptical of any future timetable for that album dropping.

Muggs is back in full Hip-Hop mode now so I think thereíll be stuff coming from the SA camp more regularly.

I think weíll defs see the Roc Marci album, Cypress Hill album and Meyhem EP this year, plus maybe some extras.

I was listening to Muggs - Soul Assassins II the other day...man those albums were such fire.

Hoping for the best, but low expectations for any of these projects.

^^ Who the fuck is the guy???

Muggs hasnít even been making Hip-Hop for the most part since 2011. He was on some weird dub step electronic tip for a while.

He came back to Hip-Hop last year and dropped one of the top 10 albums of 2017 with Meyhem Lauren.

Muggs dropping weak shit for years?? Nope, he just hasnít been fuckin with Hip Hop for a while. SMDH.

Anyway, really looking forward to the Muggs x Meyhem EP. I hope it's all new joints. I hope it isn't just the bonus joints from the deluxe and digital versions of the album or some shit.

Frozen Angel was the name of one of the bonus tracks, and supposedly the name of this EP.

Meyhem talked about this EP after Gems from the Equinox was out...they have so much material so he and Muggs decided to put it out in two different projects.

Raw, old school Cypress Hill kinda project.

pattch82 once again with the quality posts.

That Cypress record gonna be atrocious. I went through everything after IV last week and it's some of the worst shit I did to my ears in a long time. The Jump Around snippet sounds like the beat is gonna be nice but a spoon fed wigger reggae chorus, a 73 year old decrepit Everlast and a man that has nowhere near the stripes to be on that fucking remix, no thanks.

Muugs VS Roc and Muggs VS DOOM - fuck man, these are gonna be illy.

NightRider, I was just gonna mention that tune. I wish Muggs would drop a record of the old Soul Assassins tracks that never made the House of Pain, FunkDoobiest and Cypress records. I bet there are some monsters we've never heard. Back From the Dead is such a dope intro track to a record.

I think the Cypress album is going to be dope as fuck. The albums after IV were poir but each one had at least teo or three bangers on there. Apart from the Rise Up album. Even the 3 Muggs beats on there couldnít save that steaming turd!

I love the second HoP album, Back from the Dead is a killer beat, gets me hype as fuck every time! And Everlast been killin it lately. That War Porn mixtape was ill as fuck. And his verse on that Anti Hero joint with Slaine and Bun B was dope!

Iím putting together a couple of Muggs compulations at the min. Gunna drop them shortly.

Did you see the expanded version of Soul Assassins 1 that I did a while back? Dope shit.

The Muggs/Jacken album is by far the best Vs. album IMO. Itís a perfect album, takes you in to a full on conspiracy zone, fully coherent album.

So many bangers on there... Gods Banker, Praying Mantis, 2012, Initiation.

I think I dropped it here. Hold on, Iíll do a search.

Basically when Muggs was doing the album in 97, MCís were asking him for beats, but he would only give them a beat if they agreed to do a track for his album. So around 97 you got albums from Goodie Mob, KRS One, La the Darkman, MC Eiht and others with Muggs beats.

I combined these with the SA 1 album to make a dope expanded edition. Iíll find the post.

Muggs is a Top 5 producer of all time. I might catch some flack but i fuck with his golden age beats much more than i do Pete Rock and Large Pro. Don't get it twisted both Pete and Pro are legends and all time greats but Muggs' sound is just on a different level.

Pete Rock, Large Pro and even Premo donít come close to RZA and Muggs for me.
