i thought napalm was pretty terrible. xzibit sounds good but that album is way too fucking long and the beats on there are too similar/generic, most seemed like throwaways. it's really watered down with all of these weak pop hooks too. there's at least 50 albums from 2012 that are better imo.

^ i know many would pick other albums over the l.o.n.s., the dip set ones, dose one, shapeshifters etc. is what it is. i was honest about what i felt the most. but how many even heard that rubberoom in '99? shit is ground shaking ,wall shattering etc.

architechnology is one of my favorite albums from '99. rubberoom, techno animal, dalek, and antipop consortium some of the first experimental hip hop artists i'd ever heard, they changed my perception of what hip hop could even be lol. saul williams too. i was already into a lot of noisy electronic music and metal at that point so when i discovered this stuff it clicked immediately.

^anti pop and rubberoom were some of the first "different" rap for me too. rubberooms "gothic architecture" Ep from 95 is dope too- found that a few years ago. i tracked down a bunch of "loosies" by them a few years back too and i gotta get them of a drive right... now.

i remember the first time i heard that track "ping pong" off antipop's arrhythmia. it was crazy to me that those guys built an entire song around the sound of a ping pong ball bouncing lol. then i hear m. sayyid come in with "watch the ball.." right as i started to process what was going on. you hear any of those three albums beans released this year? haast and love me tonight were kind of lackluster but i thought wolves of the world was dope.
