Naturally rolo was happier about early 2017 than early 2018, Fahim (rip) had like 12 new projects out already by this time last year. It was full on Dump season

I can't believe this shit is getting the praise it's getting right now. 80% of the beats on this are fucking garbage. Half the shit sounds like a fagget ass Little Brother reunion album. Roc is the man but ain't nothing touching Marcberg, those beats were on point.

I don't like them either but when you are expected to perform for hours can't take the risk. Sometimes if I don't eat enough healthy fats or am stressed out I nut quickly and can only get hard again like an hour later.

Best combo for me is lots of Almonds, Vitamin D3 pills, Tribulus some herb.

Holy shit the samples on this album are so loud, obnoxious, and all over the place.

Who does the final mastering for this guy?
These samples are so sloppy and ruin a lot of tracks.

Bedspring King is such a dope beat and good idea with the boxspring sample but it's not synced up properly to mimic an instrument and it fucks up the tempo. This dude needs Daringer and Alchemist to lace a whole record for him and take his pre-scholl Don Barzini quality beats back to the dumpster.

Bohemian Grove
Tent City
Happy Endings
67 Lobby

These are really the only tracks I think are REALLY dope, the rest are just ok. Nothing wack, but overall,I enjoy Rosebudd's Revenge a lot more. I'll still cop the CD if he drops it.

Here's the album stream...

One time through and I'm satisfied. I wouldn't put it up with RR1 just yet though. The quality on the second half of the album was great at times (Kill You, 67 Lobby) but also a little ehhh. Muse for example is him spitting over a vocal sample that drowns out his lyrics half the time. Power isn't the strongest closer either.

Lulz irl at no mask saying the Pimp Smack Skit is boring and filler when it's literally 33 seconds long. C'mon bro how you gonna say you're not biased yet nitpick a 30 second skit.

RR1 had a 7 or 8 stretch of songs that rivaled any stretch of the same amount of songs from album over the last few years. It also got better with repeated listens. That's usually what happens with Roc albums. I'm impressed but not blown away with my initial listen. Then subsequently things start clicking more, pick up on some wordplay i missed out the first time, and end up enjoying it a lot more. Only time will tell but this shit is dope. It's funny how Roc is at the point where anything he drops has AOTY potential. That's a good place to be as an emcee but it also sets him up for heavy criticism most other emcees don't endure.

i can see albums growing on u with time, like 6 months or a yr between or even more but to do repeated listens every day or week sounds like force. i dont think music works that way on the brain, sounds like brain washing wen u want something to be great so bad. takes me 2 listens and usually with alot of breathing time between them to figure an album out. fuck that 10 plays bullshit, i gotta love something to give it that much attn.

Yo ETW i completely disagree with you bro.

If i like an album upon first listen then repeated listens definitely give me an opportunity to appreciate it more, especially some of the intricacies i missed on my first listen whether it be wordplay, different aspects of the beat/sample, etc.

To me forcing would be if within a few weeks of Eminem - Revival dropping i went from "the majority of this album is wack as fuck" to "this is an AOTY contender" after like 20 listens. Point being in that example is it's a wrapper I'm a big fan of so as a result i have to force listen until i start liking it.

One of the great aspects over the past few years as i stopped listening to 200 new releases a year and settled to probably around 50-60 is it allows me to really appreciate an album by repeatedly listening to it as opposed to it being disposable after one listen cause there's 3 new albums i have to check out.

roc marci got so much charisma, he's able to make a good track out of the weakest beat ... rr2 is a solid release, although it sounds kinda unmastered at times...

clock, I think your review is solid, but I definitely think 'power' is a lot better than that. really cool sample and I love the laid back feel of the track.

I could see this being one of those albums that just gets better and better as time goes on, tbh.

Power is great and so is CVS. And that's the exact reason why one listen isn't nearly enough time to determine an album unless it's auto wack. Both of those songs i bumped for the first time heading home from work exhausted. My mindset is totally different of how i dig a song/album based off how im feeling in that moment. I'm sure others can identify with that. Power sounds like some gunslinger coming out of a saloon type beat.

Twice through, this time listening to the whole album in one long drive instead of three different car rides like i did the first listen, and Happy Endings is probably the only weak link for me.

Haters gone hate but this so far is AOTY for me.

Yo Weather if you had to pick your least favorite track what would it be?

CVS is so dope. I was surprised when you said you didnít like that one yesterday.

To be honest thereís only one track Iím not really into after 5 listens and itís Saks Fifth. Itís growing on me but being sandwiched between CVS and Major League is tough.

I like the little beat switches in Saks Fifth. I think the hook on Happy Endings is wack.

Kill You is so fucking dope. Love that haunting vocal sample fading in and out throughout the song.

Knowledge compliments him well too. His hook on Bohemian Grove is fuego.

His verses on happy endings are so nice though. And that beat is sick. I kinda agree about the hook but it just sounds like Roc fucking around.

His verse on Muse is perfection. After a listen or two I wasnít sure about the track, but listen to that verse again. He fuckin destroys it.

Kill You is just nasty. I love that track.
