haaha classic

wish that first album was available. i mean i got all the songs on a cd-r but that woulda been classic on some odb shit had it been released. dude was a weirdo and somehow stuck around to become one of the best. think im crazy, bar for bar put your favorites best verse up against uncommon valor, renaissance, anything he's done since that point of his career where he snapped, and he's outbarrin EM. prob gonna take for him to die to truly get his just dues like sean p tho. not from me tho...

I've said it multiple times that the Uncommon Valor verse is so fucking overrated imo of course. A lot of other people seem to like it though, but that skilling killing willing filling etc. Rhyme scheme is lame af to me.

Good ass post. Never seen that mini doc. This dude is an animal, cosign "every record label sucks dick" being his goat song, though "stanley kubrick" is just as good.

rugged man said in the doc that came with his best of album that stanley kubrick isnt even a good song, thats hes just naming his friends names and its far from his best track. i totally agree to.

Admitedly it is one of the few songs from him where i really like the beat. His flow sounds amazing to me over a really good beat--even if it is just him naming his friends (which is an understaement about the song imo...)

off "die rugged man die" are my jams.

plus the uncommon valor verse and the verse off the renaissance are sick.

i also dug his tribute to his dad alot off the last album and believe it or not the hopsin track.

Die, Rugged Man, Die is low-key one of my favorite albums ever. One of those rare albums where the beats would sound incredibly weak with any other rapper on them, but with R.A. and the style + subject matter complimenting them the whole really is greater than its parts. Lot of incredible storytelling there, plus it still has his dark, depressing humor. I love nearly every track on that album.

"Chains" is retarded as hell though. All 3 of them dudes bodied it. One of Killa's best verses, an incredibly underrated Priest verse, and the first (and probably best since it's so sparse) use of that non-stop flow from R.A.

Night of the Bloody Apes is whatever. His voice back in those days sucked, no getting around it. Just not enjoyable to listen to. 'Every Record Label Sucks Dick' is a classic to this day though.

Till my heart stops was the first time I heard RA, and probably his best work in my opinion. Him and 8-off demolish that beat.
