this

jake one is usually hit or miss for me but the beats on this are great and the drums are hard to. freeway is just great, one of my favorites. such an unorthodox style and great voice. album is fantastic.

i loved that paul white tape, i need to go back and list to that soon. i wonder if he's got anything else coming out this year.

also i almost forgot about eon ra, probably because i never see his name mentioned anywhere ever lol. he's got some great stuff, path of ganesha is probably my favorite project of his overall though.

The Purist-Bang! Bang! LP....music from the double feature score apparently... got a dope cover, features Roc, Bronson & T Y Nitty. I think this guy is behind Daupe! either way its fairly solid mix of instro with a few vocal tracks comes off sometimes like a poor mans Lewis Parker but overall its a solid listen.

Joey's Summer Knights, am spinning the vinyl so only 8 tracks and ones a remix. Joey with a lot of features, its a good release, but fuck airhorns on a hip hop track, keep that shit in shitty dance records not in Hip Hop.

Action fat fuck Bronson, I took time to appreciate Saab Stories, I know it gets shit on around here, but its entertaining. Strictly 4 my Jeeps could easily have been left off and I could do without, although like most of this disc its strangely growing on me....Alligator is just great, Seven Series Triplets sounds a lot better on paper than the track but Triple Backflip is nice, and I could also do without Wiz Khalifa....but I find it trashy entertainment, I like it.

co sign Jungle Brothers ARE awesome....

Second favorite Gangrene album. Stand outs for me are...

Sheet Music
Flamethrowers Part 2
The Man with the Horn
Better Things
Gluttony
Noon Chuckas
Hazardous Materials

7 out of 12 (not counting the intro) are all top tier for me. Just For Decorations is a notch under because of that horrible Chuck Strangers verse. I'm not the biggest guitar sample fan so Scrapyards is just ok to me. The flute sample on The Hidden Hand is dope but when driving in the whip and having it on blast it can be a little ear grating when it comes in. Other minor complaint is i wish it would've had another couple tracks thrown on it. Little too short. Beat change on Noon Chuckas >>>

wiz ain't bad in really small doses (no pee homo)

late regi by yae still in the whip

i don't have to skip anything on here

that we major beat is so classic. did anyone else every rap to that beat on a mixtape or something? it sounds like something great for a freestyle, but i'd honestly love to hear doom and open mike eagle on that beat or even just doom killin that shit. mods-if yall can make that happen i'll send some prayer hand emojis yo way/

damn it kanye, when you made hip hop, you were great.

funny thing is i still rank graduation as his best, i love that album

but i think im gonna put lr in the 2 spot and move cd down to 3

o yea shouts to be and watch the throne too ehh

eseph, i read a good article about graduation a few days ago, and am sending it your way:

https://www.avclub.com/10-years-later-graduation-remains-kanye-s-biggest-mos-1802068277

check it out.

i always knew the death of kanye's mother and the ending of kanye's engagement to his longtime g/f in 07/08 fucked him up and really changed his music from thereon. but the article's comments about the influence of touring with U2 and the rolling stones on him is interesting.

Dusted this shit off today. Bought it back when it dropped in '03 and played fuck out of it. Shame what Vlad ended up becoming but back then his blend skills were insane. To me, this is up there with the Mister Cee tape as must own for a Biggie fan.
