I gotta give it a proper spin but off of the initial run, my favorite tracks are the intro, Bulletproof Drummer, Dreadnoks, Razor Bracelets & Loverine. Complaints from Olympus and Vincent & Jules are also really dope.

Anyone interested in NYC, the release show is tonight at Mockingbird. Nems, Broken Home and others rocking as well. Should be a dope show.

i love shaz and starvin is just ok but ther not newhere close to gemz level. spit gemz is better than chino xl if u listen closely. dude is highly intelligent to like chino and actually has a flow. hes one of the best latinos of all time to me. it hasnt translated into one entire great project but hes nasty. his 4 min freestyle on statiks show off radio is insanity.

"drinkin cherubs blood out a devil horn"

Spit Gemz/Shaz Illyork/Starvin B are all interchangeable to me. The best album of the three I've listened to was Fvck The Radio except the sound quality was fucking putrid. '97 Mentality was the best mixtape but mostly cause of the beats.

i dont think ther interchangeable at all. all 3 are very different. shaz is a wild card, gemz is a spitter and starvin is a throw back to semi decent boom bap.

Chino XL shits on all three of these dudes combined. They're all mixtape rappers to me. Cool to listen to in small doses but very average, run of the mill.

more like street rappers in the same vein as a mic geronimo or royal flush or half a mil or sauce money. people will look back on all 3 with fondness. i still think gemz is better than chino. between celph titled and spit gemz i dont need a chino xl even tho hes made a bunch of stuff i like.

chinos double album is my favorite thing hes done and i have most of his other shit. he has a bunch of amazing freestyle sessions but the double disc was really fucking good, he had more of a flow and the beats were better than his old shit. gemz is just somethin else to me. i wanted to feel that way bout chris rivers but unfortunately he only sounds good over his dads old beats and everything else is sub par. plus his breathe control is worse than his dads and hes prolly 300 lbs lighter.

Shaz has put out the best music by far, his mixtapes from a couple years back when outdoorsmen were looking like the next big thing in the underground were straight fire. Gemz is the better spitter tho just needs beats. Starvin is just boring as fuck still can't believe I bought his album based on the opinions of this board

Stick by my story, in your narrator's humble opinion Gemz & Shaz would have done best if they could have put aside their differences & stuck together.
Their styles compliment each other so well.
Imagine a whole tandem album produced by DJ Brans or GS Advance with joints like below.

That being said, I think that this album & they are both ill & hope they both continue to drop heat for a long time to come.
Also think Fahim & Shaz might make an interesting combo, both are the exiled wild cards of their camps. Call it Dump-York or some shit.

Shaz nice with it, Gemz mediocre at best, a Fahim/Shaz combo would def "pique" my interest. Starv B is decent tho, i don't get all the hate for him...i own/like all his projects, but to each his own i guess

^^^man we have completely differnt taste. gemz is raw as fuck, that grizzle in his voice and that flow is 2nd to none. shaz has some of it but starvin is super boring. like a latino awon. gets great beats but is completely ordinary.

raw as fuck sometimes don't always equate to being good, but i can understand what you mean tho regardless. Starv B, to me, is kinda nice, i would say slightly above average, but his albums are solid. a "latino Awon", i think Awon puts out good stuff too, i got all his albums, and the Awon & Phinks stuff is dope. differences in taste are cool with me man, we all have our likes and dislikes.

Gemz bad money too, dude was robbin people thru Paypal for a while, i know a few people he did scam personally

Megatron Mindstate is one of my favorite songs period. The chemistry on those verses with those bars is insane.

I think Gemz, Shaz, and Starvin are all ill. Over the last few years though Starvin has had the better beats but I will definitely be checkin this!

I like this album. My favorite was Welcome To Hellzgate but this will come in second. I think the beats on this one are better than some of his other recent projects.

'Dead Lift' with Stu Bangas goes super hard.

"dude will never go anywhere"

Well, that's all relative. He's already been places you'll never go. His name rings bells, and respect is attached to it. A rapper/lyricist/poet is just that regardless of where they "go"... I wouldn't say the same for a "dj". A dj whose name doesn't ring bells is not a dj at all. sorry to break that news to you.
