making my fahim camp comparison to killarmy made me re visit this the other night and its still so good. love almost every track on that album. it'd be dope for them to do another collective album in 2018.

hmk 2 is my aoty at this point. love it. bad hombres and petrus steele are so nasty.

i actually bought that mad skillz from clock a few months back. like it alot. dude always sounded like big l to a me a bit.

mc eiht from this yr i waited forever to finally listen to. its okkk but i was majorly let down.

i need that mc 8

and the mad skillz, he did sound like l. i like rappers that sound like l

and yeah hmk2 is honestly way up there for me, but i think i still like woods and roc better than metal lol

so i broke down and got the deluxe meyhem cuz i've pretty much fallen in love with that little album in the last week although i complained at first, it's pretty great and i want more!!!!!!!!!!! reminds me a lot of one of my favs respect the fly shit.

i'll prob buy an album or two tomorrow. possibly anti/heroes?? and the open mike eagle if the rec store got it in for me yet

and right now im bumpin the havoc and a l c from last year (still incredible) and the legendary hell on earth is on deck...

writing more songs this weekend for my "cell" album that will drop sometime next year. i'm taking my time on this one tho... you can't rush greatness my ughhies

very cool album but some of the songs the organ sounds too unpolished and simplistic. kinda usually happens wen rap recreates with a band but its still an interesting project.

Underrated 2015 album from a legend...

While Jay and Em are legends dropping mostly garbage nowadays, Face stays consistent. Content is real, dark, and raw. A few questionable hooks along with some that fit the theme perfectly. Only skippable tracks are Dope Man Pushin and Steer. Solid 7-7.5/10 album. It has its fair share of slow songs but that doesn't automatically mean they're wack. God and Voices are two of the better tracks on the album and they are slow with a vocal R&Bish hook on them. Steer is one where it doesn't work as much. That John Legend hook is godly.

Mental Exorcism is amazing. I read that Face book a few years back. It was excellent.

I made a Best of 2012 Playlist on Spotify last night. I was able to add 100 tracks within a half hour and that's having only gone through a handful of the albums from that year. Easily the best year in hip hop since the early 00's. So much fucking quality. This track you said you fucked with a lot, right ETW?

some thoughts on the posts already made..

gino that HMK is dope definitely in my top. always a fan of vinnie and bill. have to listen to it a few more times havent done it since the week it came out.

i was watching a teddy hart documentary trailer the one where hes showing off his dungeon and flipping the cats around damn lol.

i think i had a dream recently that honky tonk man died lol just looked it up to make sure he didnt.

looking through my beers in the basement and trying to drink the ones that have been sitting here for a while and past or close to past the freshness date. this is a month past lol. had some chicken wraos earlier.

listening to some bill burr podcast. he's alright.

glad but kinda suprised that you like that has-lo project so much gino. after that thread in august i never saw anyone talking about it so i just assumed most people weren't feeling it.

some great tracks on here though

wins
paulie
tinnitus
crucifix arms (ft castle)
meirzwiak
us '88
samsara

are all dope. it's still not the proper follow up to 'in case i don't make it' that i've been waiting for though.

Been listening to this a lot at work. There are three tracks in a row that are fucking fire. Soviet Official, Winder Winds, and Covey Leader to Raven knock ferocious. The rest of the album is underwhelming but I love those three.

I tried this album a few times and don't like it at all. You guys hyped this shit up earlier this year. Rhymes were okay, delivery/voice is mediocre, and beats were flat.

catching up on 2017 stuff

just finished this

decent but for 11 tracks its long winded. "wolves of now why" with that building steam from a grain of salt shadow sample is fuckin nasty. this was good but for 11 songs it played super long to me. his voice gets old quick.
