going through his discog and damn, his catalogue is way above average for a solo emcee.

Elizabeth is my top Priest album- too raw and transports you to an esoteric dungeon for sure- lol. but so dope. his wordplay, knowledge, references, mystifying statements etc. hes one of my top east coast emcees- top 10 even.

psychic walter reed album is amazing too.

His new mixtape is really ill:

You think living legends , freestyle fellowship and busta rhymes all make good music, your opinion on rap on this board is one of the worst

Yeah, there's some good stuff on Walter Reed 2, I haven't even been able to listen to it more than a couple times though. I also went through every Advocate Baller Status mix tape and pulled every KP track off, and I got like 40 more tracks this year I never heard. Dude's amazing. When he drops an unofficial album, there's always some stuff that's skipable, but all his core albums are usually dope.

Priest is one of my 2 or 3 favorite mcs of all-time. Even if the production on his joints falters, which it does quite a bit unfortunately, he can carry a track with his vivid wordplay. He's an incredible mc and even better live to be honest. I listen to pretty much all his shit frequently and heavy mental and pwowr are definitely his Crown Jewels, imo. I also think Planet of the gods is an interesting and thought provoking piece of work that I haven't seen mentioned.

Yeah, Planet of the gods has some some nice production, sort of experimental for Priest, but it's almost like a follow up to PWOWR, as all of POTG was produced by Jordan River Banks and Ciph Barker, and pretty much half of PWOWR was produced by the same 2. I don't really think the RZA added anything to PWOWR except nostalgia.

He also started injecting some of the new topics he'd been playing around with or researching at that point, and went full on with POTG, which I still think has some kind underlying story or concept that ties the whole album together. Those 2 are current faves along with Classic Heavy Mental.

I think people slept on Behind the Stained Glass which was overshadowed by the Offering, there's a lot of knowledge and personal shit on BTSG and some nice tracks, I prefer it on the whole to the Offering. You're right tho he can really paint a picture in just a few lines.

What's next for KP tho?- "What should I give them? Maybe Heavy Mental 2? Shout out to Cilvaringz... but with that or without, I'm still the king!"

priest has a great discography.

a lot of people put heavy mental on top of all his albums but honestly, PWOWR is just as good if not better imo. if it was cut to one disk itd be a flawless 80 min album.the offering and black market militia are also GREAT albums. Those 4 albums are much better than his other work but if you give priest good production he shines.

i was dissapointed in planet of the gods. the single was incredible but i thought given the producers, itd be a lot iller beatwise because i love the producers work with him but he seemed to get better stuff on PWOWR.

Definitely in my top 10 east coast MCs. Could even be in my top 10 period. I always thought he and ODB were way beyond anyone else from the Wu camp overall.

^honestly I think I would rank him higher than everyone in wu camp...except maybe ghost. I tend to like recent priest projects more than ghost's stuff though.
