in 98 I was listening to tons of french hip hop and on a tape made by the great dj Cut Killer there was this freestyle from a dope crew called Puzzle.

Then I got addicted to this melody and found out who made the original joint in 97

Peace to JuJu, he made so many memorable shit e.g. till today I remember when I heard Watch out now for the first time in high school - we went nuts, drunk & smoked for 2 whole days listening this shit on repeat. Glad I had the chance to live this shit in those premium years, these times are long gone.

and yeah there are so many other more influential joints that I love to death but yeah this was my shit.

That sounds like something me and my boy would listen to back in the late 90s early 2000s, along with these below. We had different underground tastes, but these ones we bumped a lot in the car...

After Shook ones, Don't Forget MObb Deep's

and

here's a good one from Mobb Deep lite we used to bump

Seein Beatnuts on there also reminds me of "Off the Books"

Just like in life or what? Heavy Mental came out in 98, so that's my favorite year. Also, '98 was the year I first started buying underground music off of hhsite.com, good year. But P Diddy was dominating the airwaves by then I'm sure so, probably not a good year for watching MTV.

Its not about homothug rap you soft fgt. When I was in that age it wasent that easy to get this US indie rap shit - It wasent granted for us like it was for you and obviously there was no internet.

we had to cop some hard to find magazines, there were 1 max two radio/tv session a week. We went to the record store and after that we were sharing the found bangers and yeah it was mostly about finding this banging NY sound but of course we never dismissed anything from the west or south we liked.
Most of my friends were digging for that ughh sound at this time. Thats why my ears are not really cool with mainstream rap because I was conditioned to this sound I learnt to luv as a kid. lol I didnt really "move forward" regarding that.

Its not about homothug rap you soft fgt.

your getting to the 2 extreme of it homothugs and soft fgt's. neither I am a part of it

since you are not from that era and knew nothing of that era basicly shut the fuck up and take notes for once u arrogant prick.

during the time of the mobb deep shook ones there was much better hip hop being played on stretch and bob...at least by bob taht mobb deep was shit music overall

Bro Mike was still slurping breast milk in '98. While it's not on the level as the golden era ('94-'96) it had a ton of great albums. Give me '98 over any year the past 15 in hop hop.

I know tippi named a bunch so including some of them in the following list...

OutKast - Aquemini
Gang Starr - Moment Of Truth
Big Pun - Capital Punishment
Black Star - Black Star
Aceyalone - A Book Of Human Language
La The Darkman - Heist Of The Century
Cappadonna - The Pillage
Noreaga - N.O.R.E.
Killah Priest - Heavy Mental
Goodie Mob - Still Standing
A Tribe Called Quest - The Love Movement
Rza - Bobby Digital
Sunz Of Man - The Last Shall Be First
Xzibit - 40 Dayz & 40 Nightz
L'Roneous - Imaginarium
Kool G Rap - Roots Of Evil
Hieroglyphics - 3rd Eye Vision

Anywho...two of my most played songs are Clipse "Grinding" and Jimi Hendrix "Voodoo Child"...

Try posting the video through IE, mine never work through Chrome or Torch. Otherwise there's a line in the "Target" field of the Chrome Shortcut Properties you can try changing to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --profile-directory="Profile 1"-disable-xss-auditor

Which worked for me on my laptop, but not on my PC for whatever reason. Fuck Chrome, data gathering SeeEyeAye
