Is there a hole in your heart where banging tracks once lived?

Beasty just dropped almost 50 new pieces of ear-candy today between these two albums. Peep it- I'm sure there's at least a few some of you will treasure forever. (Ha)

I haven't actually listened beyond the first track yet!

Supposedly all his imagery and tattoos or whatever are revere symbology. I guess his 13 and 33 have been reoccurring numbers in his life, according to interviews- or he just really wants to appeal to esoteric enthusiasts.

9 tracks into "medusa" and i can't really say i'm feeling it, but i can't pinpoint exactly why. it's weird because if someone described this album to me on paper i'd assume that i would love it, but it's just not hitting for me. i'll give it another shot some other time. dude can definitely rap though, i'll say that much

^Ha, what?

33 obviously masonic reference, I don't think he's involved with them though, unlike LCOB who simultaneously rap about their dark history, yet some of them appear to be members; tough there's w hole chapter or society of black masons- no idea if they have a whole different history or purpose, but I'm guessing not.

I'm sure he's not just catering, he puts some research into his stuff, having whole songs (not on Medusa) about Madam Blavatsky, Lucid Dreaming, Symbolism, Ancient demons, Lemuria, aliens etc. etc. "Illuminati" is pretty much just a joke term these days tho.

The album really kicks off at track 7 imo. Dude's skill is ridiculous. He records, mixes and masters all his music too.

Ya, his mixing has gotten better with each album. I particularly like the mixing on consciousness of the gods from his last album. The way the hook pans from left to right.

after listening to the whole medusa album i gotta admit i'm not feeling it at all. there's honestly only a couple tracks i'd ever return to. nothing about it really stood out to me or impressed me, other than the fact that this dude is good at rapping. some of the beats on here just sound so generic, like what you'd hear if you typed "dark hip hop beat" into the search bar on youtube lol. like store brand snowgoons beats. honestly don't care for his voice that much either, or at least the way it sounds over some of these beats. it's funny i think he sounded better over the beat on "humble servant" and that's completely different from the other beats on here. also the subject matter is for the most part stuff i've heard so many times before, and hes very straightforward with it. overally yeah he might have skill/talent but i don't think that always translates into good music.

keep in mind this is just the opinion of some asshole on the internet, i'm not trying to hate on this for the sake of hating, just being honest. can any of yall explain why you like this dude so much?

To put it simply, voice, flow, rhyme schemes and content (the more introspective shit). He can rap circles around 95% of the boring, bland mediocre rappers that get too much shine on this forum.
