there's also a new kankick project that was just released today

new aceyalone sucks... bad. beats and rhymes are ass. acey hardly rapping and fat jack with the shitty beats.

he really sucks at picking beats since after a book of human language. a couple other decent albums right after that :

Accepted Eclectic (2001)
Hip Hop and the World We Live In (2002)

but hit and miss.

Well, I had time to listen to a few while painting my damn bathroom: Skyzoo, Pete Flux/Parental, and Jamo Gang (Rass Kass, El Gant) all dope so far.

I'm not sure which I like best yet, lyrically probably like Jamo the least, I mean they are dope, but not really coming with any messages or stories or anything relevant, just hardcore with good one-liners.

It get so easy that it almost hurts

1. Skyzoo: "In Celebration Of Us"
2. Evidence: "Weather Or Not"
3. Planet Asia: "The Golden Buddha"

...and only one month of the year passed away: next album to be in TOP3 is already O.C.'s "A New Dawn" (out February 23).

Yo ETW just seeing the fact you've bumped 11 albums from 2018 exhausts me. I've now listened to four with the Spark. I've been debating bumping the Skyzoo but never been a fan.

I used to be like 2013-2014 but i ended up burning myself out. Couldn't even enjoy albums cause i was already having another one on deck. Became exhausting and more of a chore. Plus id only listen to majority of them one time instead of taking few spins to really absorb everything. Been enjoying hip hop a lot more last couple years since i pulled back on trying to listen to every album that drops.

2018 hasn't been too bad at all, it had a slow start however it has come with strength. maybe we just need some bigger name releases to get it going.

at Clock - I agree that it is important to go slow and absorb albums. The problem otherwise is you dont actually appreciate the album for what it is. You can pace it well though and listen to a lot of albums many times each.

I've fallen a bit behind with 2018 releases but Evidence is at the top right now with Lukey Cage just behind. Incred hip hop

this year definitely started off slow compared to last year, but there's been a ton of projects getting announced that i'm looking forward to.

new projects from black milk, quelle chris & jean grae, o.c., dessa, SHIRT, factor, cut chemist, beans, lord fredd33, dabrye, and roc marciano which all have potential and most of those will/should dropping this month. there's also the jerry quickley album entirely produced by busdriver coming out next week too.
