amazing actual album^

i like the one with az even better

forgot there was 2 of these. i love all 3!

i'm bumpin my latest release, cold case files volume 15, just making sure it's perfect and ready for its 10/20 release next month. its dope, my buddy nemo the kid bodied like 10 tracks on it. he's my favorite rhyming partner in crime right now. he gets the rae/ghost "co star" feature on this next tape so be ready! my beats are pretty crackish on here if i do say so myself, too. i sampled a lot of jackson 5, bj chicago kid, romeo juliet soundtrack (w dicaprio), etc. my oldest son co-produced a beat with me and layed some eerie piano keys for nemo & I to pass the mic on.

there weren't really 3, the regular version of the first one, the apollo brown version, and then 12 reason to die 2. i'm guessing that's what eseph was talking about.

been listening to this album a lot ever since i revisited it when i was trying to find tracks to add to that massive spotify playlist. count bass d has been kinda inconsistent these last few years but this album is great from front to back. one of the most creative hip hop albums i've ever heard. favorite tracks: truth to light, antemeridian, quite buttery, how we met, my first piece, dwight spitz, blues for percy carey

need to check out that new kamasi washington ep, i think ivan ave's new album drops today as well

i think i prefer art for sale over dwight spitz. can't remember. i compiled my fav tracks from art for sale, dwight spitz, begborrowsteel, and act your waist size, so they all kind of blend together in my mind now. there's gems in all four of those projects.

i fucking love the august 25, 2001 track.

i haven't fully listened to any of those projects in years, i love the title track off art for sale though. there's so much diversity and a bunch of different ideas on there, i remember hearing that and thinking how it didn't sound like any of his other projects.

pre-life crisis and art for sale were both all live instrumentation. he played all the instruments on those projects. after that, he started using samples, starting with dwight spitz. that's why those first two projects sound quite different from the rest of his discog.

Last few days before returning to the real world and going back to work. Been getting it in with some projects around the house, painting my sons room tomorrow. Been spinning these fairly regular.

Such a phenomenal project. The production on here is second to none, some of the greatest beats Ski Beatz ever cooked up.

Went through and spun this while reading that dope making of article about it. I've never heald this in as high a regard as most people, but it's still a dope project. My problem is that sonically and thematically there's just a lot of shit here that sounds too much alike. Some great concepts for sure, but a lot of samey shit.

DAFFY. Nearly every song slaps hard. Biggie, Run the Jewels, ASAP Rocky, RJD2, Chemical Brothers, hell even that Designer remix knocks within the context of the album.

One of the more underrated albums from last year. Twin's voice is hit or miss for a lot of heads but i dig it, especially over more darker beats that make up the majority of this album. Some of Twiz's beats, especially Twin City, give me a full on Alchemist vibe. Live To Die is a nice little introspective track. Other stand outs for me are Straight Face, Take Away The Lies, and Biblical. Only track im not feeling is The Rotten Apple. Not a fan of sped up vocal samples to begin with it and the beat just sounds out of place on this album.

This track DAFFY...
