I don't usually watch animes but I saw a snippet from Spirited Away and it blew me away. Gonna have to watch it in full.
I noticed samples in it that brought me to fucking tears!

haven't really watched much new anime because i find a lot of it to be pretty trash nowadays. not that i don't think there's good stuff being made right now, but i just haven't felt compelled to go and look for it lol. i usually just watch old favorites i haven't seen in a while, recently i retwatched big o, ergo proxy, and vampire hunter d bloodlust. i've been wanting to revist lupin the 3rd and zoids too, haven't seen either of those since i was a kid.

also not anime but i ordered this akira manga boxset that just came out

porkelin you gotta watch spirited away though, that's a classic. if you like it then you should check out the rest of the studio ghibli films like kiki's delivery service, my neighbor totoro, princess mononoke, howl's moving castle, ponyo, and grave of the fireflies. grave of the fireflies will fuck you up, one of the saddest and most depressing movies i've ever seen.

They need to remake Valley of the Wind, but with a darker tone. Good movie, but the girl is just too upbeat child happy for me.

It was fairly entertaining. Thought evoking and visually engaging suspended disbelief. Later.

Kiss anime is slow on my phone so I've been watching old episodes of the guyver. All the episodes are redundant but it's good for some reason. Reminds me of power rangers

rewatched angel's egg the other tonight, definitely one of my favorite animated films ever. it's super ambiguous/abstract and i'm not even going to pretend that i understand all the symbolism in this film but it's a trip from start to finish. definitely not for everyone though. also yoshitaka amano worked on it and he's one of my favorite artists, he's known for doing the art/designs for the early final fantasy games.
