Daniel Day Lewis's performance in There Will Be Blood is singly handedly the greatest acting of the 2000s.

Lots of good actors mentioned. One that hasn't been mentioned that I think is fantastic is Cristoph Waltz.

Lol Joe Pesci hasn't been in a movie in over 10 years. He's making an acting comeback in Scorsese's upcoming film 'The Irishman' about Frank Shareen (the guy who killed Hoffa)

Jamie Foxx, and Samuel L. Jackson also dropped only good movie in the last years

So did Denzel Washington, George Clooney and Matt Damon

I became a fan of Tom Hardy in the past 2 years.

He killed it with Legend and The Revenant in the same year.

Tom Hardy is defiently on the come up. I tried to watch Legend, but couldn't get into it, will have to give it another shot. I'm actually very familiar with the plot and the Kray twins from before this movie was even a thing so I def should peep it again soon it's on HBO.

Denzel Washington, George Clooney, and Matt Damon are all excellent. Miss Denzel in his prime when he was choosing great movies, he's been on a slope. Not even sure what movies he's starred in the last couple years.

It took me 3 times to get through Legend due to the thick accents. And I needed the closed caption on. But it was well worth it. The movie isn't an A+, but it's a solid B+. Tom Hardy gets an A+ though for playing both Kray brothers.

louis c.k. really wanted joe pesci to play the asshole uncle pete in horace and pete, but pesci refused, and suggested louis cast alan alda instead, even though it was an against type role for alda. pesci gave louis some notes on his thoughts on the character, even though he didn't take the role.
