Corrupt Files? Wtf!!! Can't Delete???
I got some mp3's that are corrupt. They have the start of a name and a bunch of box looking shiets as letters. I can't delete them, the folder their in, move them or anything! I've been on the web for the last three hours looking for solutions to no avail. I got this one jay-z song that's corrupted singled to a whole harddrive by itself. I can't even format the shiet away cause it says the drive is being used by a program, which it aint... I'm boggled as fuck! anyone have any knowledge on this
I had a virus a week ago, and got rid of it!
I had to get a new harddrive just to fix the problem. Stick with norton for viruse's, the last programs I've had, have always slipped up and not even detected them. These files have been around way before than. These files were prob created by an old virus no dought, but I have no idea how to get rid of them now. they arn't weird random files, their known mp3's I have that have been corrupted.
That overwriting idea sounds good, someone else said to try and delete in dos so I'm gonna try those. thanks.
it theyre .eml (i think ) then its probably a virus, especially if theyre popping up in your audio folders..you might need to do a full format(bootdisk, lose everything)
A few things to try.
1)Try to rename them. (might have a problem with the file name)
- make a bogus file, call it the exact same name including the extention. should over write the file.
sounds like a virus
