(np) Can I Install Os X Without Erasing Everything On My Hd?
I've had OS X Jaguar for about 6 months and I never installed it because I've been running Protools Digi 001, and I keep reading that OS 9 classic doesnt run Digi 001. So I'm finally ready to switch, but I dont have a firewire to back up all of my Protools Sessions, So I was wondering if it was Possible to Upgrade my OS without removing all of my files.
plus you probably have your PT sessions on a seperate audio HD, and you OS on the system HD, I am assuming.

"Installing Mac OS X is easy. After you insert your Mac OS X CD into your computer, double-click the installer icon in the CD window. You’ll be asked to restart your computer, and then the installation process begins.
When you install Mac OS X, you don’t have to worry about losing any of your files. By default, Mac OS X is installed in addition to Mac OS 9, not in place of it."
