After Listening To The Snippets Of Bazokatooth.....
...i hve come to the conclusion that un-conventional hip hop can only be pushed so far.
this album sounds like fuckn trash...
and i was a big aesop rock fan too....
but this just did it for me.i have never heard a worse piece of shit than this dissonance that is supossed to be hip hop.
it makes why? and oddnosdam sound more conventional than this shit...
stay far away from this unimaginative crap....
its like he's trying too hard to push the boundrays and it ended up being a bunch of fuckn noise
he should go back to blockhead as his full time producer
fUcK ThiS SHit
no dong woo....i think aesop is somewhat talented....but the fact is i dont jock me as much as you do to eminem
i dont got a nickname like Big Aesop
i dont ride on a male's dick like you do
that's the ol fact
bounce, dong woo
i thawt the album was kinda weird too at first but it grew on me...the first 5 songs are to fast for my taste..my fave tracks are cook it up,pacman victory, frijoles and superflke......
anywun know where i can download complete versions of appleseed and music for earthworms....mailme
"..in fact i havent even heard appleseed or music for earthworms cause i cant get it in the record stores here...and i refuse to download his tracks"
appleseed and music for earthworms were albums that AesopRock sold off his own website and through Sandbox, Atak, hiphopsite etc. they were'nt really "official" albums, just CDRs with a kinko album cover. and are "out of print" so, the only way you'll ever hear those albums are:
2.drop sixty dollars on ebay because you dont want to download them.
aesopROCK is nice. yes, sometimes its sounds like gibberish but so does ghostface killa. you tell me what the hell he's talking about.
i'll give you any amount of money if you can tell me what the fuck Aesop Rock was ever talkin about in any of his songs!!!!
octagon plasma futuristic solar beacon deacon
johnson paid homage to the system
with intention of giving reason to the vixxen...
fuck an aesop rock, what the hell did you expect to hear from this cat.
i think mr. lif needs to get offa def jux quick. lif's the only one a them cats that i can actually feel, but el-p ruined his album. please lif, for christ's sake, get outta there! stick with gettin beats from fakts one, straight up and down.
"The album is dope .... spend some time with it. Better yet ... spend some time with it with a good pair of headphones on, and a fat spliff ....."
I knew you'd have to be smoking some good grass ta like Aesop Rock. My theory of wackness induced albums made into quality records after the listener has been dillusional, caused by either head injuries or smoking that good shit, is proved correct.
I guess I'm wondering if you're trying to make a point.....Or just babbling..Cuz I ain't seeing no point.
but its the truth though..
Jericho.....that ain't you don't roll with that schtick...
"anyone who listens to this shit is either white"
^^^^As if being white is a bad thing....
anyone who listens to this shit is either white or someone who doesnt care what they spend their money on...
^^agreed. the topis started desperatly wanted to jump on the hate aesop bandwagon though, and he couldnt wait till he got the album so he based the whole album on snippets. fuckface.
No fuck that...you can't really tell shit from snippets....Thats not a good basis for a decision..
the snippets are there so you can decide if the album is worth buying....to give you a taste of the album....from what i heard it was shit...and if i didnt like what i heard in one minute snippets then why the fuck would i like what i hear in full 4 minute songs?
im not a "big aesop rock fan"
cause i dont like this bullshit he's been putting out lately..in fact i havent even heard appleseed or music for earthworms cause i cant get it in the record stores here...and i refuse to download his tracks
float was an amazing album and i really dig the production and rhymes on it...labor days was a close second too...but this album from what i've heard ...and after listening to the full 12"(the greatest pac mamn victory, or some bullshit like that) i was relly dissapointed at how over the top and utterly annoying this shit is.
i hated the album when i first heard it
but iv been listening to it constantly this last week on my minidisc and its pretty sick
fair enough not all the tracks are good and the lyrics are impossible to understand but "11.35" is so nice
I don't understand why, suddenly, aesop rock fans are surprised of his wackness...
Maybe asiapiss60 could explain me.
of course if his guru let him use his computer.
The album is dope .... spend some time with it. Better yet ... spend some time with it with a good pair of headphones on, and a fat spliff .....
Shadowboxer....care to elaborate on your location?
i was definitely disappointed.
"un-conventional hip hop can only be pushed so far" ... so true. i swear some of these cats just pride themselves on being unique and "revolutionary" or something, but in order to do something nobody has done before, you just have to get weirder and weirder. and at that point, shit just isn't hip hop anymore, it's psychospacebabble.
