Ianneed's to chill out
this is for everyone who consistently talks shit about what some people like, specifically, ianneed. i was reading your chronic 2001 post and was wondering what the point of it was. every time someone mentions eminem or dre, for some reason you can't hold back your feelings. you always shit on them, every single time. what is your point? your not going to convince anybody to stop liking 2001 just because you always say how shitty it is and how "gay" dre and eminem are.
anyway, i just think you and others that do the same just have to chill out. i think the chronic 2001 is a great album. but we're not going to get anywhere trying to convince each other of the opposite. heres some words of wisdom for you ianneed, courtesy of Buck 65:
"universally, i keep the ill shit in my arsenal.
i hate r&b, but it ain't nothing personal.
you know what i'm saying?
for example, not everyone out there likes organized konfuzion either.
the point is:
theres lots of different ways for beats and rhymes to go.
and i left the playground shit behind a long time ago."
So leave the playground shit behind and let people enjoy what they want......
I see no harm than argueing or criticizing something with somebody, but the way peoples do it on this board ("I'M GOING TO KILL YOU! DIE! DIE! DIE! PISS OFF! I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL!") is a little over the top at times.
Calm down Ballsack. You want to know why I shit on Feminem, Dre, and their legion of moron teenage dickriders? 2 reasons:
This is an underground hip hop site, where people are supposed to have more refined tastes, not the same crap that circulates on mainstream TV, radio, etc. Take note, however, I'm not dissing them simply because they're popular. I get sick of listening to a bunch of hypocrites rant about how jiggy, thug, gangsta hip hop from NY and the South is total garbage, but suck Dre's dick as if he's any different. As for Em, I get sick of white kids hyping his no lyrics, bitchy voice havin ass. Bottom line is that they put out wack material. Simple as that. If somebody came on this board sayin how Puffy and Master P were dope, we would all shit on them (don't give me that nonsense about how we shouldn't criticize what people like). Any time someone comes wack, I'll diss, I don't care if they're white, or used to have underground roots, or fooled suburban white kids into thinkin they were hardcore gangstas, or whatever. By praising such trash, you disrespect real artists with real talent and intelligent, meaningful things to say.
Dissing people is cool (everyone is doing it). Really, how interesting would this site be if everyone always agreed or didn't criticize others' tastes? Plus, the fact that I sometimes choose not to be cordial when criticizing just makes more people respond, and gives me a better chance of having a good discussion.
